Mark Boudreaux is a seasoned veteran of Kenner toys. Since 1987, he was an integral part of the original Kenner Star Wars toy line and went on to contribute to several of Kenners classic toy lines during his 40 year tenure at the company.
His rich legacy includes the highly collectable and sought-after Real Ghostbusters toys, which inspired generations of ghostheads and was reimagined by Diamond Select Toys with brand new sculpts and equipment that more closely resemble the Proton Packs and PKE meters featured in all 140 episodes of the hit cartoon series.
Mark kindly overviews the entire line of Real Ghostbusters toys from Kenner and explains the prototyping process in detail. The Bug-Eye Ghost, featured above, was most recently included in the mobile Ghostbusters World video game.
Among many of his accomplishments at Kenner Toys, Mark was tasked to design the Ghostbusters HQ Firehouse, originally prototyped in foamcore. This playset won the Kenner design team over and was improved to include features such as the interactive fire pole.
The panel, available to stream below, took place at the Sony Pictures Entertainment lot in Culver City, CA during the 35th anniversary of Ghostbusters on June 8, 2019.
