A JoyRide Chrome 1:21 scale Ecto 1 - MIB, never opened. This is the very first I've heard of them releasing a chrome one. (I know that they did release rare chrome versions of KITT from Knight Rider.) Does anyone have any information on this? Dang - I thought I was doing good simply having 2 of the regulars (one still in the box and the other on display). I didn't know there might be a chrome version I was missing.

Very, very odd. Never heard of it myself either.

Seems very weird, I would've thought someone would've heard of it.

Could have been some kind of production prototype. Sometimes those get out and people think they're some kind of special edition. It came out so long ago it would be a pain to start going through all the old threads on it.

I did some looking online and I can't find anything to support it. I've found Chrome “Chase Cars” of KITT, the Bluesmobile, the General Lee, a James Bond car, and a Fast and Furious car - but nothing about a Chrome Ecto. hmmm.

EDIT: I have sent an email to Ertl/Joyride. I'll let you know what I get in response.

Update: the auction has ended. Did anyone on here win it? I would love to see more pics if that's possible.
Also, I never did hear back on my email to joyride about it.
