Hey Guys, this might interest a few of you.

There's a 1960 Miller Meteor on Ebay. Needs quite a bit of work, but it'd be good starting point for an Ecto-1. It's not a ‘59, but beggers can’t be choosers. Good price, too.

The pictures youve aquired are quite amazing. that “junk yard” the 60 M&M amb lives in has a 59 S&S hearse to the left of it, a 56 & 57 hardtop to the right… infact theres nothing but cadillacs in that yard! man would i like to live there. lolsmile

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's not a ‘59 S&S next to that ’60. If you look closely in the photos, the rear window curves down and there is a Trunk lid visible. (Trunklid is open in the photos). That ‘59 may be a series 60 special, or possibly even a fleetwood. But its no S&S..

That ’60 does look very cool though.. Looks like a fun project.. Get a new Engine and Trans to drop in there and then start cleaning and sanding.. smile

Fun project!

Speaking of Cadillacs, check out this cool picture:

It looks like something Batman would've used before he got his drivers license, hehe smile

The seller of the ‘60 Ambo sent me some pictures of the interior. Very rough, but definatelly restorable.

I still think it would be a good buy, but the auction so far is steaming along rapidly. I’d suggest if anyone's planning on buying it, they should use the “Buy it now” option before it reaches the reserve price. I considered buying it myself and having it shipped over here, but upon advice from a friend who's had similar experiences finding cars overseas I've decided against it. I figure if I'm gonna go to the effort of buying a car from the States, it might as well be the ultimate: a 1959 model. I'll keep looking smile
