If you understood how games were developed and manufactured then you would fully understand the errors in this game and others.

There is a long lead time when it comes to finishing a game. Cinematics take months to make and up to a week just to render. If a mistake is made, then they would have to repeat the process, and sometimes you just have no time left. If a cinematic has to be sent back for rerendering or re animating, that can mean a new contract so that would mean new negotiations, etc etc.

You have to hit certain dates in order to properly test the game. I haven't been working on the game in about a month, and I'm one of the last artists to touch it.

It's all priorities, and in the end, those details just weren't important enough compared to other issues.

No one* will notice the cyclotron lights.
No one* will notice the alice frame.
No one* will notice will notice the rookie holding the wand. (even though this is a valid way to hold it when not firing.)
No one* will notice the twin towers.

*No one meaning the general public. You guys have watched the videos frame by frame and actually know things the general public will not know. This is what makes you super fans of the franchise.
Hell, the general public is still wanting to know if it's all the original voices and if Winston is in the game.

Fair enough. I didn't realize the process was so involved that changing a mistake really wasn't “worth it” if it was a minor error (which they are).

Atari needs to get a handle on their PR department. What is all this garbage? All the videos… all the feeds… Now they're playing through the entire game for everyone to watch???

They are completely ruining a launch. They're letting people see this whole thing played through, totally killing the first time experience and revealing possible ingame secrets / details before the product is even released. I am not watching this.

The game industry has become worse than the movie industry. See the whole game before you play a demo??? What in the flip is this crap?

Anyone else notice some of things venkmans spoke has changed since the last ballroom vid we all saw? I wonder if there are recorded similar lines for each seen and its not always the same combination of things spoken in realtime just to keep things from being repeated?? that would be cool..(*peter)

Didn't really seem like they were playing the game for everyone on Ustream and the such, they just kinda were playing the game.

They talked over every cutscene(almost every.) as well.

TBH, I consider myself a SUPER GB fan, but I never Noticed the Twin Towers not being there.


Why? Because they're NOT suplemental to the story, I don't see what the big deal is. YES the buildings got destroyed on 9/11 some people STILL think it's a big deal. It's not. Get over it it happened a long(enough) time ago. STOP looking for reasons to hate the game and just love it for what it has.
