I was wondering in any one knows a good place online to get the Rainbow Ribbion Cable? and what exactly is used for the Cyclotron Band? I can't find any thing that looks like it or is actually it. I am trying to make my proton pack to the “T”.

Check out the Hitachi web site. They carry the wide 64 wire ribbon cable you're looking for. smile

Try Charles Walker. He sells the ribbon wire and some other great parts. His e-mail is CW2908@aol.com.

The Hitachi ribbon cable is not the correct kind. The real GB2 cable was made by Spectra Strip. The GB1 ribbion cable is still unfound but it is known to have 20 wires or tubes, and it could be pneumatic tubing.

I have three different types of pneumatic tubing here with me, smallest to largest(not to mention clippard price logs and such). I can tell you now that the ribbon cable on Pack 1 is most likely not pnuematic hose with comparisons are done, but you never know wink

The trouble with the ribbon wire is that, on some packs, it looks like the kind of wire you would find in your computer. However, on the other packs (like Ray Stantz, from the movie) has it, the “ribbon wire” is actually several small wires just bunched up together, then fanned out and connected to the cyclotron.

The trouble with the cycltron band, also called shockmount, is that you can't buy it from a store, you have to either make it yourself, or buy it from another ghosthead.

I've found that hot wheels race tracks look acceptable for the cyclotron band.

Norm recommends that in his 1996 Plans.. it really doesn't look good if you are going for an accurate Bumper.
