2001-

Sept. 11th has forever effected my watching of GB2: when the lights go out.

And GB1: When the top of the tower explodes.

Other than that, Hot Topic started selling GB stuff. Good.

Luigi's Mansion: Good

ToyFare Mocking GB: That shows that if something is popular enough to mock, it's pretty popular! GO GB!

Extreme GB Game: Good

Alien Ant Farm video: Good

2002:

We should work to promote GB all over the place. I mean ALL over. smile

Once again, SkullLeader comes out on top of being “Cheif Pessemist.”

I'd have to say some high points of my year were going to Islands of Adventure, being introduced to MST3K, and my discovery of Ghostbusters.net.

For 2002 … well, I don't know what's going to happen in 2002, but it's a palindrome year. That's gotta mean something.

“It's a pun.”
“A pun?”
“No, uh, not a pun … what's that thing where it's the same forwards as it is backwards?”
“… what, a palindrome?”
“Yeah, that's it. It's a palindrome.”
“Mate, the palindrome of Bolton is notloB! It don't work!”

smile

I love that sketch.

And that show.

Well, this year was when I first stumbled upon the community, which is when I stumbled upon Spook Central, then GB Central.
Since:
-I've been inspired to make a GB site.
-I've been inspired to make a GB movie (I may post my idea to get some feedback from you guys).

Lorenzo Music passed on. Very sad moment in the community, certainly memorable.
GBHQ I remember was having troubles for a while but I'm glad that it's back up running strong as it's a great site.
AAF's “Movies” video was awesome.
GB.net premiered! smile
Luigi's Mansion is almost more Ghostbusting action than any previous Ghostbusters game has had. I would say it's no coincidence, and they were inspired.
That's all I can think of.

I would definitely have to say that gb.net opening has really added backbone to the community. Hot Topic releasing all this new merchandise is helping add some exposure to the franchise. Seeing the Alien Ant Farm guys bring back the GBs (and Karate Kid) brought back some nostalgia which was good too!

I forsee this year being uncertain for the community. I know that Dan Aykroyd has still been feeling some unease in the direction that his career has taken and it will be interesting to see what he decides to do this year (if his choice of being in “Crossroads” and the direct to cable Spider Killer movie are any indication poor Dan is still unsure what to do).

And hey, maybe in a week when I'm settled in my new place in Cali I'll be able to start doing a lot more in the community again just like the good old days. That's one of the Netmeister's New Year's resoultions!!!!

Its gotta be the hot topic stuff. Iv been itchin to get my hands on some new gb stuff for a while. Ever since my aunt got me a RGB light switch cover in a tag sale, back in 99'. I just beat luigi's mansion, and they mention “busting” several times. No doubt that it was a GB inspired gamecube game. Keep it real in 2002!

The highlight of my year has to be finding this place, I can't believe it has been nearly a year! Plus the relaunch of the Site was my other highlight.

Highlight of 2001? Sandman reaching puberty. Oh, wait, my mistake…
