I cannot belive I forgot this, but when I was little we owned the 3 Stooges NES game and at the very beggining you see the no-ghost logo from GB2 and then the stooges walk up and the music comes to a halt and you hear something to the effect of…

“Hey fellas! We're in the wrong game!”
“This looks like a kids game… you idiot”
*smack*
“Ow!”

This is very hard to get to work in the emuators out there, some skip the scene completly and others have no dialouge, it worked on Nesticle ONCE for me, I'll try to grab a wav, if you want screens lettme know…

The Stooges appeared in an episode of “the Real Ghostbusters”, in a cameo of “Adventures in slime and Space.”

They just remade it for the Game Boy Advance, but Activison didn't distribute it this time. I don't believe the GB2 thing will be in the beginning as a result, but I could be wrong.

Actually, this was a little running gag Cinemaware placed in all the versions of the Three Stooges game. It started with the release of the original Amiga versions - where the Stooges wander into another Cinemaware title: “Defender of the Crown” and say the same dialogue that was mentioned before. They used the same gag in the PC version, but without digitized voices. The main audio support was PC speaker only.

Of course, when the game made it to the NES, they ported the joke over as well. But since there was no “Defender of the Crown” for the NES, they replaced the game title screen with a different-looking version of the GB2 title screen, which was another title by the NES Stooges publisher, Activision. I was pleasantly surprised that the NES was capable of decent-sounding digitial audio samples…
