Perhaps one of the major problems with casting is Harold Ramis and his weight gain. Looks like somebody's been working on their Mr. Stay Puft impression…:p. It seems as if most of the challenges with a GB3 can be dealt with to produce a 3rd movie, although I read the summary of the script on IGN and I didn't particularly like it. ghostbummer… welcome to the boards. i can assure you that harold's weight gain had nothing to do with GB3 not being produced. also, the script review on ign.com was OVERLY harsh, especially considering the final movie more than likely would not have resembled that script. i suggest you head over to www.protoncharging.com and check out castewar's review of the script. aykroyd's first draft of HELLBENT was much like his other solo-written GB scripts… technical, low on jokes, full of jargon… stax obviously didn't expect that.
