88MPH NEEDS YOU NOW

That makes sense, but you have to remember that the four issue series itself was within the price-point of the average fan - this hardcover is supposed to be a keepsake and by definition of a higher (and thus more expensive) quality.

Don't get me wrong I do understand that, but like Divia said right under yours and D. Osborn's post to pay nearly $70 dollars on the dealer incentive issue is even more nuts. I wasn't one of those people either who spent $70 dollars on that issue. I mean I'd be more willing to pay the $40 for this Hard Cover than I would for that. I'm a big fan, but not big enough to pay $70 for the dealer incentive issue. Honestly both of the prices for the incentive issue and this Hard Cover one are just about equally insane. I've made that point abundantly clear so now I'll stop beating that dead horse.

I only paid $15 for mine. The most I ever spent on a single comic ‘cause I support the dream. Heh gotta, it’s mine too. :p

Mine was $2.99, I believe.

As for the Trade…

I can afford it, but I won't be buying it either. I'll tell ya, I was damn excited for it. I really wanted to see what Dan Aykroyd had to say and I wanted to read the Zed Factor, but not for forty bucks.

Pardon my ignorance then…but if you can afford it, then what's the problem with buying it? Not like you're gonna get this opportunity again in the future, and before you mention the UK version, it does not include Dan Aykroyd's letter.

Just a little perplexed, you know.

the thing is that SO few copies of this thing are going to be printed. i figured the so called “collectors” would be going ape-shit instead of bitching and moaning…

Hey, I placed an order for the TPB yesterday directly from 88MPH…do you think I'll still get it or did I miss the deadline?

They haven't announced a cut-off, so you're probably alright. They would have shut down the ordering system otherwise.

I see what you mean, it ought to be good for the collectors. But just IMO, I think a true fan would want to see the comic and franchise in general do well rather than to make an easy profit for themselves.

All I will say is that you are disgustingly out of order, and that 88MPH, in my opinion, is better off without you as a customer if you're gonna say stuff like that. Furthermore, I have brought this to the attention of the Moderators, so it should be cleaned up quickly.

Think. Harder.

And I am calling you snotty, Snotty.

Stop talking like 88mph is Coke or Rebok - there is no “they”, it's Sebastien. It's one guy trying to get the book out. He didn't cancel the order because he couldn't produce enough copies for all the stores - once you get the presses going, you can print one or you can print millions - the only limiter is paying for it and the only limiter to paying for it is if there are pre-orders to cover your investment. Even with pre-orders, there are two numbers you need to keep in mind. You need a certain level of demand so that Diamond will even carry it, which is linked to, but not locked in to, the percentage Diamond makes off the sales.

More often than not, when this situation arises, comics just sink from sight. Sebastien however has offered a new option so that most people who want it can get it. Yes, the average buyer will be lost because it's not sitting in a store looking at them. Yes, a few fans will be lost because they cannot or will not pay the new cost. And that's an accepted fact.

But you don't get to whine about it. We are not intitled to this book. Our love for Ghostbusters doesn't not mean this book gets made counter to market reality. And to post here like it's an insult to you personally is a slap in the face of the guy who ran the corporate gauntlet just to get the license, organized the creation of the books, and is now working to find a way to make the books a continued reality.

I wasn't going to say you're not a true ghostbusters fan. I've never said that about anyone and I doubt I ever will. That you've decided to paint me as that kind of person proves my point… Snotty.

You've had your say. Blow.

Sorry I haven't been able to get to this sooner, but I've been busy with work, family, friends, LIFE. You know, that thing you don't have?

And again, I'm sorry, junior. And I'm sorry for even wasting the time to register at this board. The 88MPH ass-kissing is making me queesy.

They had their chance, but those losers couldn't get a comic out on time to save their lives. They had something great in their hands but it turned out they had butter-fingers. The one good chance for a revival of a good property was lost on those imbeciles and I have 0 confidence in them.

But you guys; everytime they release a comic 4 months late or similar BS, you wrap your lips around their dicks and beg for more. Disgusting.

No matter how much you tell them they're doing a good job it is doubtful the “godly” Sebastian is going to employ you or buy one of your rediculous fanfics.

You're welcome to reply to my post with all the snotty and crybaby responses you want, but you'll just be wasting your time. I won't be reading them. I'll be too busy having a life and buying GOOD comics that come out on time.

Great work 88MPH, you've ruined a good franchise.

Bitch away, fanboys.

The words SHUT THE FUCK UP! Spring to mind. Feel privalidged, I never swear on here, but you sir are enough of an ass to make me do so.

Why dont you go and publish a God damn comic!? BEcause 88mph is literally ONE GUY! JUST ONE SINGLE MAN! Somehow, he did the incredible and grabbed the rights to a HUGE franchise and has produced so far FOUR BLOODY AMAZING comics and probabley spurred off the novel and toy range.

Explain how the franchise is ruined because a few comics have been delayed? Sure no extra harm has been done, we have more, NOT LESS than before.

Any you tell us to get a life? I have a life thankyou, it's because I have a life that I can not mind when a comic gets delayed. You however, who goes into a hissy fit because a couple of comics dont reach you when you see fit and then decide youll go live your “life” by reading comics that come out on time…

Im sorry, who lacks a life here? The people who understand the shit happens, or people who get pissy when a little thing like a comic doesnt grace their greasy little paws?

You sir, are in need of a life, and an operation to remove the 20 foot rod from your ass!
