A new addition to an old GHOSTLY franchise in the works

It would appear that Sony are definitely in the mood for bringing more old franchises back to the silver screen.

The new one being touted is a spooky tale of supernatural proportions.

Unfortunately, it's not GB3, but Poltergeist 4.

WHY?!

The original Poltergeist movie was excellent, but the sequels sucked big time (especially 3).

Come on Sony, do the right thing and bring us the movie that EVERYONE wants to see, GB3. :-@

“This summer, Carol Anne fights BACK!” POLTERGEIST 4: Electric Boogaloo- Coming to a theater near you."

i remember spielberg having a really cool idea for a sequel back in the day… dealing with parapsychologists researching the big hole left by the house, or something….

POLTERGEIST has a LOT less baggage than GHOSTBUSTERS, in terms of salaries, etc.

No way!

Zelda Rubinstein demands at least TWICE Murray's price.

Or Carol Anne IS the poltergiest this time.

Here's a fun fact;

“During the filming of Poltergeist III, she was doing a photo shoot when she paused and lurched. Director Gary Sherman was present and asked her what was wrong, she responded with a comment like ”I don't know, was just a jolt. I'm fine.“ Several minutes later Sherman was pulled aside and told they would have to let Rubenstein go from the film – her mother had just died. After developing the film from the photo shoot, it was discovered that every photo had come out fine, except one, which had an inexplicable cloud of light clouding into the photo from Rubenstein's left, covering half of her with a semi-transparent haze. Rubenstein said she knew the jolt had to have been her mother's passing - she said they always had a particularly strong bond, in a way some indentical twins have. Sherman, who had witnessed it, agrees it could not have been anything else.”

River_Of_slime.

I was stating a fact that an old franchise is being dusted down and getting a new update. I know (from what you lot say) that it isn't Sony that is refusing to make GB3.

Re-reading what I typed now, I should have ommitted that last part, I didn't mean to imply that it was Sony that is preventing a second sequel.

Rockford, don't take it personal… Chuck gets a little enthusiastic about things like this… and he comes off as being a bit… well, condescending, or something like that. He doesn't mean it. :p

If we knew for a fact that'd work and he'd not call the cops then we would have done it years ago. :p
