I know. I mentioned that earlier in this thread. TMNT is probably next on there list…

I wouldn't mind seeing a new GB cartoon on Comedy Central. Perhaps USA or The Superstation would be good networks for it as well.

I agree, I would like to see it on some of those stations. Maybe even TNN, or Scifi.

Fox would be a great channel to have a new GB show on. TMNT is doing the best out of the 80s franchises that're being revived.

I dunno. I dont trust FOX. They dont give show enough time to develope. If its not a hit right away, they get rid of it. Remember Andy Richter Controles the Universe? Im still pissed they cut that one.

As a saturday morning cartoon, it would fall under their “Fox Box” group…which is set up as almost it's own channel, and independant of the morons that killed Andy Richter and the Tick. (Tick woulda been awesome if it just coulda gotten a budget…)

Honestly, if I had to choose, right now, who I thought would be best for a GB toon, and it could be ANY network I wanted…it'd probably be Fox through it's Fox Box programming.

Or as an anchor for a new animation block on Sci-Fi…which is something I could actually see given decent backup. Sci-Fi's the kind of network that's not afraid to take a chance or three, and one of the demographics they have yet to really hit their stride with is kids. Get GB, and four or five other shows, and put them on Saturday mornings and Sunday as the lead-in to prime time. Could actually work…

I agree with Dr. Ramis and Toygeek. I too, do not trust Fox as far as I can throw a, uh, well, a really large and heavy object. In my opinion, Fox and movie-based cartoons/shows do not go well together. Sure TMNT may be fun, but who really watches it, other than little kids? I don't. I love the Turtles, I really do. I was really hoping that the new show would follow the old comics, but they skewed to wildly from them and that's why I don't watch it. It's too, well, it's too EGB for my tastes; too EXTREME!!

I don't want to see GB go that same route: the old EGB/Extreme/toy-selling route. I would really root for the show to be mature-themed. Otherwise, there's gonna be a fiasco.

As for the newtork, I would go with SciFi, asToygeek said, or possibly that new Horror channel that's going to be launced next year. Comedy Central would be a good place for it though, what with “South Park,” “Clerks,” and “Gary & Mike.”

Alright guys, I edited my first post at the beginning of this thread. I explained the advantages to it being targeted at ages 7 and up.

Unfortunately, I was trying to restart the poll (On account of what I said above.), and it messed up. So until someone can help that, it's gone.

You may all continue…

If it is going to be a more mature cartoon I would put my money with adult swim, but thats just me.

how would you feel if they didn't use the original guys though.. i mean venkman, spengler, zeddemore, stantz. What if they followed several different franchises? had maybe guest spots and such with the original guys. Just to kind of further the franchise to a point that we don't have to depend on those characters and it gives the writers, marketing and product people more to work with. We might actually come across some really interesting other GB characters.

This was kind of done with several other names where they took the familiar idea added characters and ended up with a hit show, the most notable being Buffy

The reason being, i think that it could be a live action show and possibly done more cheaply, which might attract new stations or “cheap” stations like sci-fi and the new horror channel. I think the new horror channel would be stupid not to put their eggs in one basket with a new ghostbuster show.

think it definitely should be horror comedy type, maybe show that this job is really scary.
