A new cartoon series strictly based on the new comic...

Michael Reaves, I can't believe I forgot to mention him. He wrote some excellent episodes and it shows. Best one next to JMS. And on Strazcynski, maybe after Andrew Dabb leaves the book (here's hoping not), maybe 88 could hire JMS for a brief run.

Howsabout…Richard Mueller? Creator of Charlie Venkman, and writer of the Gb1 novelization.

He even wrote a couple episodes of EGB. He'd have to be in a new show to keep his streak alive!!!

Dr. Riddle: My post was just a joke to something you said above on the page. Sorry for the confusion.

BTW, Two writers that DO NOT need to return are Len Jansen and Chuck Menville. They have got to be THE ABSOLUTELY MOST WORST writers the franchise has ever seen. We have them in part to thank for kiddie nonsense like the Jr. GBs and Prof. Dweeb. Ugh, the very thought of those two disgracful “writers” makes me sick! I've seen better stuff from preschoolers!

That's being a bit nasty…they wrote ‘Killerwatt’, ‘Janine’s Genie', ‘Mrs. Roger’s Neighborhood' and ‘Ghosts ’R' Us', four episodes ranging from good to sublime. Although they did also write ‘Stay Tooned’, an episode which I'm still trying to convince myself is a figment of my imagination.

Also, for writers, check out the Eden brothers. (I don't believe they've been mentioned here, forgive me if I'm wrong).

And about new VAs, how about Billy West as Ray, and Jeff Glen Bennett as Egon? (Jeff played Owen Burnett from ‘Gargoyles’, whose looks and personality are reminiscent of Egon's, plus he can do both dramatic and comedic roles, which would be good for a GB cartoon). Both of them are VERY versatile and could easily split the one-timer voices between them. Hmm, and maybe Phil LaMarr as Winston (he's worked closely with West and Bennett before). Don't know who could play Peter though. Rob Paulsen was suggested, but somehow I can't envisage him as Peter.
