ok first thigns first…I'm not reading through all the posts…so you who voted no SPEAK UP! I will smite thee

And secondly:

Ghostbusters Series I: All 4 GB's in khaki jumpsuit W/ nametag, and molded-on elbow pads. Each figure includes a Proton Pack W/ Neutrona Wand, Pistol Belt W/ Walkie-Talkie/various other attachments, Circuit Board Pouch W/ Leg Tube, a special accessory, and a base designed to resemble the GB logo W/ foot pegs to stand the figure on:
1.) Dr. Peter Venkman W/ Ghost-Sniffer and a wearable puddle of green slime.
2.) Dr. Raymond Stantz W/ Ecto-Goggles and a Ghost Trap (Both should be connectable to Pistol Belt.).
3.) Dr. Egon Spengler W/ P.K.E. Meter, Ecto-Scope, and calculator.
4.) Winston Zeddemore W/ Working Ecto Containment Unit W/ Ghost Trap

OK, granted those are good ideas and all but don't let the boys at marketting do the comercials…cause well lets face it…they'd turn everyone AWAY from the toys O_o

Kid 1: Here I come Ray!
*yellow ghost flaying around attacks Peter, Kid 1 puts GREEN slime on Peter*
Kid 2: Peter!
Kid 1: He slimed me…

so yeah you get the point ^_^ I don't watch TV anymore because I got sick of mentally challenged commercials But yeah I'd buy em for sure! ^_^

So far, it seems the NECA GB action figures are movie-based, but I hope the Ghostbusters themselves will be based off 88's character designs. I mean, I've always wanted my very own Bill Murray action figure, but a Peter Venkman action figure would be a lot better.

Wait a tick, I never wanted a Bill Murray action figure.

I'd much rather have action figures that look like the comic characters than action figures that look like the actors themselves.

420 posts! Ha ha ha… heh… Yeah, those jokes aren't funny anymore.

I have no interest in buying action figures that look like the movie actors. But hey, that's just me. I would like to have em based off the comic. Although, would action figures based off a comic work? I dunno. I would think that there would have to be a cartoon to really push the product. As we've seen with MOTU, kids are needed in order for the line to be successful. Without the kids you will face the same horrible fate as MOTU. Unless, of course, you wanted it to be for collectors only. But is the fanbase large enough?

Honestly, I don't see that as a problem. Pretty much everybody knows who the Ghostbusters are…whether they are “fans” or not. Based on that alone, they should be able to push quite a few units along…name recognition is a powerful thing.

It also wouldn't hurt if 88MPH were to do an exclusive comic for NECA to put out with the figures that would tie in to their main comics in some way. That way there's some cross promotion between the two.

You mean somewhat like the Dark Horse comics included with the first two lines of Aliens action figures? 'Cause those were awesome.

That's exactly what I'm talking about…though I figured most people would make a connection to the Marvel Legends figures.

personally…i think the guys that did the final fantasy action figures would be good for the job…lots o detail n the such…but if you wanted to do regular figs…lik from the movie…the guys that do all thos creepy spawn toys'd be great…lots o detail…and they'll make slimer n other ghosts scarier
