I love the Friday the 13th movies(well the Paramount ones, didn't care much for the New Line ones) but if it was about Jason killing people at a summer camp they could've just made another sequel. If they really wanted to remake Friday the 13th then they should've made

SPOILER

…Jason's mom the killer. Since she was the killer in the first film. Cause from what I've heard it now appears to be several of it's sequels summarized into one movie.

lol when will they be remaking titanic, jurassic park and forrest bloody gump, lmao i loved that film but dam, the remakes are as above mentioned, money making schemes only, no talent goes into it, end of the day, we hack films, so why should they bovver trying?

just look at TMNT, along with the GB, i LOVED teenage mutant ninja turtles, then they remade it with a cheap animated piece of donkey crap TMNT, omg worse movie ever!!!!!, i mean for christ sake, they had the two brothers fighting each other, (they would never do that as they are family and only fight together) the last film teenage mutant ninja turtles 3, splinter was old as shit and never moved he stayed in 1 place, in TMNT he was going with them fighting and jumping over a crowd of people,

Classic movie franchise = RUINED

well done hollywood

Remake isn't really an accurate description for this Friday the 13th despite being described by virtually everyone as such.

This particular movie was more a reboot than a remake. I can understand the want and in this case need to reboot Jason. He went from being a mortal serial killer the likes of Michael Myers to an unnatural mystical monster incapable of being killed for good for some reason or another he kept coming back.

But needless to say it was still a really good movie.

TMNT was not that bad of a Turtles movie really. I personally loved it. Wasn't as good as the first movie but it was definately better that the 3rd one. And as far as Splinter is concerned…if you take into consider that TMNT was supposed to be a midquel and not a true sequel than Splinter is sort-of explained away.

The animation was far from cheap. Hell, if you call that fight scene in the rain cheap, then you must have way too high expectations. My only complaint about TMNT was the human models. I am a long time TMNT fan too, and I didn't think it was a “cheap piece of crap”.

Um, that's not really true. Have you read any of the original comics? Not the Archie comics, the original Mirage comics. Raph was always the “hot head”, and often lets his anger take control of him. He almost killed Mikey when he kept pushing him while they were sparring, Leonardo stepped in and told Raph to cool off, which eventually led to him meeting Casey Jones.

I don't understand why it would be so far off if they fight each other. Just because they're brothers? Brothers can have fights too.

Uh, Michael Myers was never a “mortal serial killer” he got up and walking from six bullets in the chest remember? And if they wanted human Jason back, they could've been a bit more creative and made a prequel instead.

While I concede the fact that it does seem like most slasher movie villains do seem to have a natural ability to survive the most unsurvivable situations…Michael Myers being no exception to this…he was far more mortal than Jason was later on, who seemed to come back after being blown up on multiple occasions. As far as a prequel, that (like a franchise reboot as well) is almost as over done as a remake…not to mention I am not sure how that would even work since his mom was the first killer (in the main franchise).

Again, I was saying in the Mirage Comics, which is the REAL or original TMNT, they tend fight each other occasionally. If you're comparing it to the old toon, then yes, they would never fight each other. But since the movie is based on the Mirage comics, and so was the other TMNT movies than the movie was done pretty well in keeping the same line.

Also, the new TMNT cartoon is based on the original comic. The old toon not really the real TMNT, only one the incarnations that we know most. But if you were saying the old cartoon is the real one, then technically that would be wrong cause the mirage comics would be the real TMNT (first appeared 1984 after all).

That saying I love both of the incarnations. The original toon was fun while not taking too seriously at times, and the new one and original comic was dark, but at the same time managed to be funny. But anyway…

I thought the Friday the 13th reboot was good. It was better than I expected it to be, despite most of the kills being predictable (going in the woods alone? That never comes out good).
