this whole thing has gotten me angry though. today I spent the entire day trying to fix my computer, everything going shitty, and on top of all that, Ghostbsuters game in limbo. I collected a play list of all the videos around the internet and I watch em all before I go to sleep every night. It has been that thing that comforts me as I work towards getting my degree this year knowing that I'll get a 2-3 month break and be able to play Ghostbusters non-stop. Now im not so sure. My wife and Son were both looking forward to playing the Wii version with me as well since we own 2 consoles. I don't know it just kinda knocked the wind out of me. I still haven't recovered yet . Especially after seeing what I saw at Comic Con. Hopefully because of this we can get the demo earlier or something…

I know im not as active as I usually am this week. I'll be around though

Actually, long story short, when talking in terms of development of a game…that's actually not that long. It's like saying the game is coming out 2-3 days.

Think of it this way…if development finishes on par with their original development schedule..and they find a new publisher asap…then we are looking at late December, early January…which really isn't that bad of a time for the game to be released with all those new systems bought over the holidays..

All I know is that I now feel bad for these children named Bobby and Jimmy, and I don't even know them.

yea, but having worked retail at holidays, anything with half an amount of ummph behind it, sales like crazy. Even shit products sell like crazy.

But ghostbusters, with a decent marketing campain behind it, would sell like crazy. Everyone loves the movies in fact, i have yet to meet someone who did not like them. It appeals to everyone of all ages, sex, races, etc, its family friendly, funny, and of course, is the 2th most reconisable logo on the face of the earth!

it will sell, when ever it comes out, but it would make alot more, if it hit store shelves by xmas,and even the dumbest companies know that is a solid fact, cause people are stupid by nature when it comes to shopping, and hey, its new, its the holidays, i want it…. thats the extent of there thinking come nov-dec. Janurary, its “hey thats cool, ill get it at some point”


me, its like, hey man, this was bigger then batman, indy, hellboy2, etc this year, and truthfully somthing ive been preying and begging for since june 16th, 1989. and its so close, so many years of wanting and wanting, hoping and preying…pleaze god let them come back one last time, if the world must end in our lifetime, please,

now im this fucking close, 3 months away, and this happens, wtf? 19 years of wating wasnt long enough? i allready vowed to get all the games for all the systems, and thats not good enough

*sigh* just relax, would you perfer a delay or outright cancellation? delays happen in life to all sorts of games, half-life 2, doom 3, and others have be delayed, this is normal in the gaming world, dont get too upset with it, its going to come out, dont go rushing to cancel your preorder or spend that money on something else, the game will come and yes you getting it for all systems is good enough it really is, show faith in terminal reality, just because activision makes a bone-headed and blatantly stupid move not to publish it is their problem, not yours, not mine, not Terminal Reality's, if they dont see potential in the franchise, whatever, thats their problem, someone else will, another publisher will, dont worry about that.

and dont worry about if terminal reality has enough money, they are enough ghostheads there that they will freaking pay for development out of their own pockets if it comes down to that, as everyone else and myself has said:

We will get Ghostbusters: The Video Game, its not a matter of “if” but a matter of “when”

so Yourbigpalal83, calm down, take a breath and let Terminal Reality do their thing to get it published, there is little we can do now but show Terminal Reality and any potential publisher our support for this great game, do that by putting the games banner on your sig, put it as your website in forum profiles, link it to your friends, spread the word about it. etc.

I completely frakking understand and I feel the exact same way, but its a matter of time sadly, and yeah who knows, maybe this wait is a blessing in disguise, any time to make the game just that much more ghostbustingly awesome is fine by me.

i can deal with a delay just as long as i still get my demo

hey if they had half a brain, activision would put out the comic con demo on xbox live and psn network now, watch how many downloads it gets, then based on that data alone, figure out if they still want to publish the game or sell it off to someone elese to publish it. I mean, most people download a demo of a game there instered in buying, no?

If i were in charge (i can hear bill murry from scrooge in my head as i typed that) thats what id do, launch the demo, see how many downloads it gets, figure, ok, half of those demos might be sales, and make a choice to publish the game or not.


Makes sense? no? but i guess if big buisness thought logical like i do, then, we wouldent be in this situation in the first place now.

Activision has Ghostbusters on their site now with an Oct. 31st release date. 10 days is better than months.
