let me tell ya all somthing.

Ghostbusters was the first movie, and first video game i have ever played and watched! If 19 long, drawn out years of wating, gasping at straws, rumors, internet speculation, etc is wasted, because activision would rather push some kiddy game, i will be one pissed off gamer and ghosthead. In fact, ghostbusters, the game, has been the thing i have been wating decades to. Bad enough, we're not getting a 3th movie, but, to say, oh hey, your getting a great game with everyone in it, then to pull it out of circulation and cancle it with less then 3 months before its launch, i will flip out.

The blu ray's, yea if they get delayed, fine, so be it i can still make due with my dvds for the time being (which look great on the ps3 upscalled to hd) That, i rather they delay FOR A LEGIT REASON like, they want to clean up and restore the print frame by frame, tweak some special effects, remix the score, record new commentaries, that stuff takes time, and i much rather wait a few more months and get my moneys worth, then just a rehash of my current ghostbusters dvd with a slighly better picture

But the game, if delayed, over bull S@%t that has nothing to do with the game itself (no tech issues, no major glitches, etc just coporate BS) then ill flip the frig out.

Honestly, i doubt they would do that. They spent alot of money into developing the game, getting the actors to voice there parts (which im sure they did not due for free,) pay them for the likeness writes, having dan and Harrold write a new script, restoring the ecto 1 to new (which had to cost them a quite a lot) and getting time life to restore and launch the cartoon series on dvd.

We live in an age were rumor and speculation can be confused with facts! so, intill i here an OFFICAL report from sony or activision, i doubt this whole story!

Let me tell YOU something, my friend:

Even if Ghostbusters is safe…that's still a significant amount of games that are going into limbo…it really is a shame. As stated by a poster on Rumortoid….this is why it's not always a good thing when smaller companies combine together in an attempt to form the Voltron of the game industry, since you'll probably just end up with a lame rip-off Megazord or something instead

Well I'm a bit calmer now than I was last night, but damn man… give a guy a heart attack.

Delays I can deal with… besides the fact that it just gives me time to save more money for all the stuff that will be coming out, but cancellations… they would've had a lot of GB Fans jumping off the Statue of Liberty.

I think we may have jumped the gun a bit, sometimes press releases can be vague and that often can lead to confusion, for petes sake the site is still up and still proudly adorned with activision's logo!

and a delay is infinately better then a cancellation, most of the time, unless your games title is duke nukem forever, but yeah, on Proton charging. castewar, points out something that brought me peace and made me wake up a little bit:

“Four of the five properties that we are keeping will be wholly owned properties that further bolster our strong brand portfolio,” said Mike Griffith, CEO of Activision Publishing. “We are very excited to add such recognizable and successful brands as Crash Bandicoot, Ice Age and Spyro, which reinforce our leadership position in movie-based and family entertainment video games.”

Here is the whole article on Proton Charging.

Thank you castewar for pointing that out. many many thanks.
