Wow, they get around the image recognition pics? Those are some smart spam-fuelled bots.

Is there any way you can make it so a user can't post a topic until they have a set amount of posts first?

I HAVE seen some boards (the Outpost Gallifrey one especially), that won't let you post links until you have X number of posts…

Thanks for the finds all. I mentioned the problem to Chad…he said he is going to look into a solution. However, the spambots are really tricky and the only sure thing we can do is delete their accounts for now. The good thing is that alot of them do not post.

Thanks for the find…look at the bright side….most of them are not posting. Its just a reality of the internet….just as popups were once a problem therse are the new advertising annoyances. Chad has said he will look into a solution, but for the mean time just enjoy the boards…its not that bad….we are deleting the accounts and most dont even post.
