i would love to see egon have some sort of love for sugar. it would be a neat character quirk that would add realism to the comics.

I agree, the smoking was important in the movie to show a few things:
1. as was mentioned, they are normal guys with normal vices.

2. again as was mentioned, The idea of wearing a nuclear accelerator on your back while lighting up.

3. It was a personality trait of them, a nervous habit it seemed for winston, and a calming method for stantz.

4. It also showed they really werent that professional. Just some guys doing a job. Like the plumbers of ghosts.

in the comic, they have to do it right and not focus on it. it was only REALY REALLY focused on when ray first spotted the spud.

And egon only eats TWINKIES? good lord, one of the greatest things about egon in GB1 is he was ALWAYS snacking on something, from the “you….you earned it”, to the cheez its with dana to the infamous twinkie.

I hope that was mainly a joke.

Kinda makes sense. Egon's the most calm of the group, yet when Peck ordered them aressted, Egon snapped. Possibly from sugar high, or maybe nerves? We're unsure.

Again, the smoking thing is getting a little out of hand. They can smoke, should be ALLOWED to smoke, but not hashish, know what I mean? Being stoned on job would not be fun at all.

Again, Spengy's the most calm, but he's got (from what I'm seeing here, and the way most fanfics are written) the munchies a lot…. Could it be that Egon smokes p*t sometimes? :O

Okay, way back to the first page. Someone said that smoking is unnecessary because it doesn't affect the plot. Well, I'm gonna use that against you. 1. It's unnecessary for there to even be a comic. But we have it anyway and like it. 2. Smoking doesn't affect the plot, and so it ain't gonna hurt anything. And I agree with Bo (who, I might add, is against smoking himself ) about it making the Ghostbusters look cool. I know smoking doesn't make you cool, but as long as you are in control (not he cigarettes) it can look cool. Also, eating junk food can kill you just as smoking can, but I don't see you people complaining about people eating junk in the comics. Wow . . . was that a rant? Have I ever done that before? Wow.

well i guess people can complain about eating food in comics because then the charaters will be fat. And then they turn into huge piles of goo. And then….*just trying to make a funny*

I'm a non-smoker, and can't stand being around those who do. THAT SAID, I don't care if the guys do or not. It's only a comic.

If they smoke its cool its not like they will portray them as a five pack a day smoker(hopefully). IM sure it will just be Ray and Winston sitting down every once and a while and smokeing a cigar or cigarett, covered in slime and stressed out.
Im liking the idea of the equipment being from first movie only, as well as the personalities of the guys.

Smoking will be included in the comic, that's from Sebastion himself, so let's drop the subject, it's starting to create a real conflict.
