I like RoshangarÂs third idea and Fritz idea. HereÂs how I visualize them in the new comic, if their ever used:
An Alternate Universe similar to Dan AykroydÂs original script (Without the time/interdimensional travel, but with a few elements from the original script. *Chuckle*): Not too far in the future, Ghostbusters Inc. is a large company consisting of international franchises. The CEO is an evil, corrupt, sinister villain named Ivo Shandor. Now, hereÂs where it gets weird, either Walter Peck or Dr. Egon Spengler will be Âthis Shandor.
It could be Walter Peck because he was the original sinister anti-GB villain. And whoÂs to say he wouldnÂt fit this role well? The reason Egon would make a perfect and even better Ivo Shandor is because the Egon we all know wasnÂt in the original script (And absolutely no one in the Spengler Family fits the criteria of the ÂParanormal Janitors of this company. So please, donÂt make him one.). He would basically have the same personality as the Egon we know, only as said above, heÂs that kind of a bad guy, sort of like Cyrus Spengler. Whichever one of them becomes Ivo Shandor will have a hideous secret plot against all Âliving beings: He plans on using every single contained Paranormal Entity to enslave all mankind. The Employees of GB Inc. are essentially $10,000-a-year ÂParanormal Janitors who work for Shandor and they really have no technical expertise whatsoever. They all wear matching blue futuristic jumpsuits with Proton Packs strapped to their backs. They also wear brushed-metal, flip-down Ecto-Visors worn on the head like a welder's mask. Elbow pads complete their strange outfits. Their headquarters is a firehouse and their transportation is a black Â76 Hearse with purple strobe lights with the No-Ghost logo on the front doors and the back door. The main characters in this are Stantz, Venkman, and Ramsey (The character that was changed to Winston. Either Winston could be him, or a John Belushi-type character could be him.). And theyÂre the only ones who can stop ShandorÂ
2.) An Alternate Universe with three differences than the normal universe:
A.) The Ghostbusters of this Universe look different (Maybe Mark Brooks/El Diablo could drop in and help out with this. :-) ): Dr. Peter Venkman has a part in his hair, instead of a receding hairline, heÂs 6Â1Â, and he wears a dark brown jumpsuit W/ green-blue trims. Dr. Egon Spengler has a big twirly blonde funnel-shaped hairdo, heÂs 6Â5Â (The tallest of the four of them.), wears thin circular-shaped red glasses, and he wears a dark blue jumpsuit W/ pinkish trims. Dr. Raymond Stantz has auburn (Reddish-colored.) hair, heÂs chubby, heÂs 5Â11Â (The shortest of the four of them.), and he wears a tan jumpsuit W/ brown trims. Winston Zeddemore has shorter sideburns and he wears an aqua jumpsuit W/ reddish trims. All of their uniforms have a nametag in the style/font that was used in GB II. All of their equipment looks exactly the same as it is the normal Universe, except for the Ecto Containment Unit. That and their basement are both gigantic.
B.) They have more Vehicles: ECTO-2, a two-person gyrocopter W/ a Proton Canon. And ECTO-4, a small gyrowing Aircraft designed and built by Dr. Egon Spengler. It can hold it's pilot and at least four passengers. It's equipped with a Proton Canon, but it's real jewel is the built-in Transdimensional Drive, an evolution of Egon's earlier Dimensional Gate technologies. The drive is hideously expensive to build and operate, however. Egon is the main pilot.
C.) They have a pet  The very first Ghost that they ever busted, the Class V Full-Roaming Vapor from the Sedgewick Hotel, and his name is ÂSlimerÂ. :-) :p
Seriously, both of these would make a great Alternate Universe issues. It would be interesting to see how Ghostbusters Inc. was originally going to be. And we may never see the RGBÂs anymore, so we could at least see them this one last time, as sort of a salute to them. And who knows, maybe theyÂll get a proper farewell this time aroundÂ
