Hey I just wanted to ask, is there any alternative to making a proton pack bumper that still looks very close to the shape of the original style? What about the clippard flow control vales, is there any alternative to those because I am havin a hard time finding a clippard r-701 and I dont really want to spent $60 plus shipping on those to clippard parts

Did I just miss something?

Crimson posted an alternative for the Clippard Valves which I believe a couple of Proptopia members have made into semi decent replicas.

Tuner: If all else fails, you could try get the dimensions of the valves and create a scratch-built set of Clippard Valves.

I was thinking to get a nice little pvc pipe that is the size in diameter and height of the clippard and painting it black. Then Possibly glue a nice strip of foil around the top so it simulates the silver look. Then I would top that off with a solid washer and then find a nice small spray bottle and take the cape off and fix it to the top of the washer. How many think this will work? I am still trying to figure out how to fabricate a bumper.

Silver paint might work better if you can find one that'll stick… it'll have less of a chrome effect but it'd likely survive a lot longer then bog standard microwave foil.
