I don't know why, but I have a really strange feeling that this “Alyssa” character might turn out to be…well not who/what she seems to be (not that we really know all that much about her in the first place), but considering what happened with Dana/Zuul in GB 1, I wonder if there could be something similar to that here. Maybe she is get's possesed/used by the spirit of Ivo Shandor in an attempt to get close to the GBs so he can destroy them once and for all? IDK. Crap! I hope I'm wrong about this, cause' if not, I just (unwittingly) gave away the WHOLE reason that Atari has been so “secretive” about the game, and what particular info they release. Damn!:mad*peter)

There'll be a reason behind why Alyssa is the new paranormal magnet, but I don't think it'll be because she's a Trojan in disguise, as it leaves out “The Collector”.

I know, and that's why I didn't add any speculation as to a particular “alter ego”…well I guess I did with the Ivo Shandor association, but my main reason for bringing this up was the whole Dana/Zuul thing.(*peter)

Really? All this time I have been seeing multiple people across multiple forums and websites spell it with an A.

It's never been seen in print before now… It didn't help that the G4 guy said made it it sound like it started with an “A”.

Good point Kingpin. I could have sworn it had been in print before, but that could of course been someone going of what was verbally said assuming it to be Alyssa and Ilyssa.

I dunno about any of you guys but Ilyssa has a mythological sound to it….hmmm…reincarnation anyone?

With Alyssa Milano providing the voice of a character the named Ilyssa, I can understand where there would be a little confusion. IMHO, they could of just changed the character to Alyssa, especially after finding a person with a similer first name to do the VO for her.(*peter)

I'm sorry, I didn't quite get that?

What I meant was, that despite being tied somehow into the paranormal events of the game like Dana was, I really doubt it's because she's some weapon being used by the big bad to get at the Ghostbusters without them realising it.
