There is also this version in the uk although there are no details about what makes it so special, were probably just going to get stiffed with a steel case again though while you lucky Americans will get a real collectors edition

Based on how disappointing the stuff that's included is, I wouldn't really call the American Collector's Edition a "real" Collector's Edition.

The stuff that's included is pretty junky, and not worth the extra $70.

Any collectible edition is good to me. The Slimer statue is great, numbered and limited with certificate. Will be worth money and the Ecto 1, well, anything Ecto 1 is great. The console skin, kick ass. The miniatures, eh, ok. I think the statue will be killer. I will get it, as I never got a huge collector's edition anything.

EDIT: My wife collects Hallmark Ornaments, I do some as the Scifi ones are killer, and Hallmark is putting out an Ecto 1 this year.

I'll pick up the Wii version of this. $20 cheaper than the other two and it comes with some cool ghost minimates.

Indeed. I was excited about the CE version of the game finally being announce (by someone even if it wasn't an “official” CE)…but I let out a “are they f-ing insane” laugh when I saw the price versus what came with it.

As much as I would love to have all the stuff that comes in the CE I am happy with the regular 360 version that I preordered from Gamestop.

To me it sounds like people are just trying to milk more money from our childhood memories and that is BS. At least I get a shirt with my game and the code for the 1991 flight suit (which will be online the same day lol).
