Another question... a silly one

What would've happened if Ray had said yes to the “Are you a God?” question??? Would Gozer ask him to prove it or just take his word for it?

Just being silly.

You honestly would not believe how often this one comes up, or how many answers it inspires. :-)

Personally, I think Ray would then have to destroy the world alongside Gozer. Other than that, I really can't answer that, because it's too terrible an alternative to even contemplate.

There's no way to prove godhood, really…it's one of those "is you is, or is you ain't?" things, if you'll forgive the vernacular.

Makes you think, though, doesn't it? There really is a lot more depth to the Ghostbusters films than the general public might recognize.

What? Destroy the world with Gozer? I don't get how you come to that conclusion.

Personally, I think Gozer knew, and was just toying with them.

Perhaps Gozer, being The Destructor, was going to blast Ray regardless of his answer. I submit the following alternate scene:

Gozer: Are you a god?
Ray: …Uh… yes?
Gozer: Then… BEGONE, INTERLOPER!!!!

Ya know, like a territorial thing.

This question has been asked in the past.

Perhaps it would have gone something like this:

Gozer: Are you a god?

Ray: Yes!

Gozer: Then, DIE!

Gozer shoots a powerful wave of energy from her fingertips forcing the Ghostbusters to the edge of the building.

Winston: Ray, when somebody asks you if you're a god you say NO!

i think gozer was toying with ray by been a bit sarcastic with him when ray tryed to order gozer to go back to her world or another paralell universe or dimension buy asking him…..are you a god?…..she looked down on the ghostbusters as weak little creatures and decided to let them decide there own faith as if she was telling them….stop anoying me….but theres so many ways you can look at this scene….either way…its a classic
