I saw the midnight showing last night, and before the movie the first Teaser for the Dark Knight was shown.

Was it this ‘falling cards’ teaser that people on YouTube claim is real, or was it something different?

It starts out black, then dialog between Bruce and Alfred is heard. Then blue lights start cutting through the Bat symbol, then the joker is heard, and the bat symbol explodes, and then joker card flies toward the screen.

Well it certainly wasn't present in the UK showing of the film.

I saw a teaser too. All I remember is the bat symbol being chipped away while dialog was being heard.
