Any info on GB3 jobs?

Hi I was just wondering if any one knew any info on what company is going to produce the film. I'm a 3D animator and I would kill to work on this thing. Any info would be a lot of help.

I can't believe this didn't come to mind earlier. I was just sitting down a half an hour ago and I told my wife “boy the anticipation of when this movie's going to come out is going to kill me”. And then she said “shouldn't you try to get on board with that”. It was one of those moments where you think “Only guys like me might be able to get a job doing that. Wait I'm a guy like me.”

I'm going to search for any info that I can get so I'll keep the board posted as much as I can if I find anything. I'm probably just getting my hopes up, but I'd rather be positive on something great like this.

Thanks.

Gary, I suspect for the moment they're probably still doing the paperwork on things… might even be a case of not looking for a production company until the script is tight and they've got all the cast selected…

Yeah, I was thinking about it too. They're probably still going through scripts. Who knows how far along they're into it or if even they have the backing and all that stuff. Then they'd have to do the voice overs and such.

I guess I kind of jumped the gun, but I'm way too excited about this movie. I grew up watching Ghostbusters 1 daily so just thinking about possibly working on a sequel has me super excited. I guess it's time to work on some stuff for my demo tape.

We all know how you feel, man. But don't get too excited.

Yeah I think reality just checked in a little bit ago. I guess we'll see how things go.

If Sony ever needs a voice artist to do any of the assorted ghosts/creatures, they should give me a call. I'm pretty good at that sort of thing–it comes from watching years of Frank Welker's work.

Yeah, I would say they are at storyboard stage and maybe doing some renders on a pc/mac and seeing what works and not.

I doubt they're even at storyboard stage - but hey, things can happen pretty fast in Hollywood.

By that same token, things can move at a snail's pace as well.

These days everything moves at a snails pace in Hollywood, well every special effects film. Back in '84, the first GB movie was completely created and finished in one year. Now it takes several for some films. Took 3 years just for the new Spider-Man movie.
