I am trying to get my nephew into it (since I do not have kids)…does that count?

I'm sure my son or daughter will love it as much as I do.

My son will sit and watch RGB with me OnDemand once in a while but unless it has something he can dance to, he's not very interested at the moment. He is only 1 after all. Them kids like to move.

I have two sons, a 4 year old and a 2 year old, and both of them are really into Ghostbusters now thanks to their nerdy dad. :p I bought them TRG season 1 and they are loving it. I only wish I could get them some of the old TRG toys now but it seems really hard to find them for a reasonable price.

Does anyone know if there are going to be new toys made? I kind of figured that with the game coming out, the recent release of the cartoons on DVD, the re-release of the original movies on Blue Ray, and rumors of a 3rd movie that there may be a new line of toys coming up next.

Getting the old toys for a “reasonable” price right now is going to be hard because of the recent rise in popularity. Although even before this, they were still going pretty high. We are going to have new figures from Matty Collector which can only be bought online, and mini-mates.

Mattycollector.com is releasing a line of movie accurate figures, and supposedly has plans for RGB as well. They will be releasing 6“ figures, as well as 12” for the movie figures, no word on 12" RGB. Once the figure lines start coming out, they will be releasing 1 figure a month, and as of right now they will only be available on Mattycollector.com, not in stores. The main line that Matty sells right now is Masters of the Universe… and they sell out mighty quickly, so you'll want to be sure to watch for these.

As for the question at hand, I don't have kids yet, but I'm sure they're going to be major Ghostheads just like their dad. They'll be taught at a young age the ways of the Ghostbuster.

I'm looking forward to the mini-mates. I'd definitely get those for a kid 1st before the larger more detailed figures.

I won´t let my kids play with my GB figures… my GB collection is untouchable.

That's why I was suggesting the mini-mates, since they'll be new, somewhat reasonable and available. I still have my original toy proton pack and my kids won't get it. Either I'll find another one or make a semi-accurate small one for them.

Absolutely!

My kids have been watching the Real Ghostbusters timelife box set. They're 5 and 6. They now run around with my old proton pack and ghost popper! I won't lie, its really cool to see.

They're going to work on Extreme Ghostbusters next. They're shaping up to be great little Ghostheads!
