Easy tiger, I misread… my grandest apologies. Even still, you can't just go in as a fan arguing with them saying “But its going to outsell most other titles.” That's just opinion right now. Yes, Ghostbusters fans are exteremly excited about it, and I think it will sell very well amongst casual gamers as well, but they've done market research and everything. They are the ones with the proof that makes it so that they don't want to publish it. You can't go in, with no market research or anything and just be like “Oh, well, its going to outsell a lot of games! So why don't you make it Mr. Man?!”

I don't want to sound rude, but again, I don't think you really read my post.

I said go in there and list all the reasons it will be a top seller. Obviously, that doesn't mean going and saying “because I said so.” It implies that there are reasons to think it will and you enumerate them one by one in a reasoned and calm manner.

If there aren't any reasons, well, you still have the option of going and kicking 'em in the nuts.

Maybe it means SOMETHING.

I guess it's good that they're still showing up to cons and stuff. Still saying “Hey we're trying” you know? Maybe Terminal Reality will be able to meet with representatives of other publishers at PAX. Who knows?

PAX may be the place to get information, but I doubt we'll get a very satisfing answer. The 2009 anniversary of Ghostbusters would be the ideal time to release the game from a sales point of view. They could bundle it with a Slimer, No Ghost, or Stay Puft figurine and add $20 onto the price. Not saying that it doesnt suck that its been pushed back, because it does. Haven't we waited since 89 for a new Ghostbusters game/movie/TV series? So what's the difference of a few months?

Be patient well get the game sooner or later and it will be worth the wait.

Until next time…

Well said!

Many of us have gone through nearly 12 years of a Ghostbusters continuation rumor mill. The future is clear, and it is bright. Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a landmark statement, both in terms of movie licensed video games and the Ghostbusters franchise itself.

This is THE pinnacle video game / movie crossover. Not a lot of Ghostbusters activity in recent years, but yet another landmark in an already genius and phenomenal franchise history.

I'm glad to be a part of it. I'm glad for ALL of us. We.. we've earned it!

Now, let's buck up and respect those who have busted their asses, sacrificed their relationships with their friends, family, and loved ones to work on building the next chapter of the Ghostbusters franchise. Let's grow up and accept the delay and be grateful. They have earned it. For helping build the next chapter of the Ghostbusters franchise, so diligently and with love.

Seriously. The Ghostbusters community is NOT little yuppie larva. (^_^)

Thats great that they're still promoting the game. But I don't mean to be rude when I ask:
When the hell are we gonna get some promotion on the East Coast and in the Big Apple where the damn movies took place????

Seriously. I know the Ecto-1 did a brief car show in upstate NY but that's just not cutting it. The East Coast needs some loving too. They could have promoted it, somewhat, at NYCC, granted they didn't have the demo ready then(technically). But they could have had just a booth with promotional items and the such.

Edit: Mods & Admin: If you see this as a derailment of the thread plz make it it's own thread. Thank you.

I've really been amused at the number of times I've seen a variation of the phrase “only have to wait a few months” uttered in relation to the game delay.

I honestly would like to know how anyone can translate 10 months, which is about the amount of time between now and June 9th, 2009, as a few months. I always assumed the word ‘few’ represented less than five of a given item. 3 months is a few to me, as is two.

It's like some surreal version of Animal Farm.

“Twoooo months good, teeennn months bad”.

And as an aside, I don't think anyone's said a single bad word about Sierra, Terminal Reality or Red Fly because they didn't do a thing wrong. Most of the criticisim's been targeted at Activision, and let's be fair, if not for them this series of events would never have taken place.

The lanyard's an enigma to me though, where exactly did it come from? I've heard about it being found at PAX but not about where it was gotten at the convention. Isn't it possible it's just being worn by someone who got it at SDCC?

As for promotion, Ecto-1 and Stay Puft were at the trade fair at the Javits Center in Manhattan several months back.

Let's just wait for an official announcement. There should be little doubt the game will be coming out next year. Now, it's a matter of how early in the year the new publisher swoops in and wants to begin marketing and sales.

In ALL fairness, we don't even have he slightest idea as to the game's release. Therefore, it could come out months before or after June 9th '09. Which means beast case it is delayed 3 months, worst case it is delayed 15.
