Honestly, this is the most idiotic, insulting thing that you could do to your fan base. We ghostbusters fans, have waited years, for anything new, and all we have gotten is shitty left overs and sub standard rehashes of crap that just happens to bare the ghostbusters logo. To boot, we've been feed a non stop bullshit stream of false hopes and rumors regarding a third film, and have gotten nothing but fustration and agervation for 19 years.

Its so bad, that we, the fans, have had to resort to BUILDING OUR OWN MERCHANDISE. How many fans have spent thousands of dollars of there own money, building a proton pack or a uniform, or an ecto 1 replica? More so, how many of us who dont have the resources, skill or time to build our own products have spent hundreds of dollars buying USED ACTION FIGURES off of ebay?

I mean, common man! Then, a bright and shining light, the whole cast is back, in a video game, and its being billed as the third movie, and we wait an entire year with little info, only to have the game delayed just 2-3 months before its release, because of coporate bullshit.

Then, to add insult to injury, they dont give us any solid infomation, and then they put out a rumor they want to delay the game by 10 MONTHS, completly bypassing the holiday season, ALL SO THEY CAN SLAP A 25TH ANAVERSARY STICKER on the fucking box?

Honest to god, ive had it. I really have. I love my beloved franchise, i love being a member of what is in my view, the greatest fan base ever, but i honestly cant stand this constant ASS RAPING we fans keep getting, and all for what?

You dont see them delaying star wars games or a shortage of figures. Hell, star trek fans get new trek shit every single day.

But us… we always get the shaft, and im sick and tired of it. I really am. We need to unite, stand up, and say to sony and those in charge, WE AS FANS ARE SICK AND TIRED OF BEING IGNORED.

Honestly. Are we just going to sit there and let them hand us what ever table scraps they want to toss our way?

We are all upset by this info and as much as any of us would love to make Sony or whoever suffer, we can't really do anything. Yeah it sucks, but sending angry emails, making a riot, and such is not going to help.

There isn't really anything we can do. Sure we can whine all we want, but it is not going to make the game come out any faster.

I have to agree with Scott, shit happens…the game will eventually get published so sit back and let it. Corporate entities are not a democracy, they do what they want as long as it means more monies for them.

Have you ever thought that what your proposing could have the adverse affect…sometimes it's a double edge sword.

Did anyone on this board go to PAX? If so, did you visit the booths and ask questions? What were the responses (if any)?

To say I am surprised that this happened would be a lie because I had a feeling that the game would get the shaft within the next month. Activision is so stupid for dropping this game because if marketed right this game would be huge and possibly be able to regenerate enough of the old fan base to convince Columbia Pictures that Ghostbusters III needs to be done.

All Activision would of had to do was create some promotional posters and one awesome commercial. People would have flocked to Gamestop or where ever they buy their games from with excitement but now we will never know. This whole situation is confusing because some people say the game is canceled and some say it's been delayed until 2009 because of Sierra needing a publisher/25th anniversary so I don't know what to believe.

If the 25th anniversary rumor is true then I think that is stupid because why would you really want to celebrate the 25th anniversary anyway? How about Sony waits until 2014 to do something?

Sony could have published the game and released it on October 21st and then on the actual anniversary of the first film which is June 8th they could release the movies on Blue Ray and announce that Ghostbusters III is coming soon.

I just don't understand that a game people actually want to buy is screwed with after all of the hard work that went into it. There are so many stupid games like Spyro The Dragon and Crash Bandicoot that get released but a Ghostbusters game that is essentially the third movie with voice overs from almost every original cast member gets canned?

This whole thing sucks and I feel the disappointment that all of you do but the truth is no one cares. Activision doesn't care and Sony doesn't care because they can always release something else to make more money. You can make a petition with 1000 signatures on it and e-mail it to Sony or you could even hold a protest but nothing will change the outcome of this situation.

Hopefully the fans will get what they deserve which is to have their hands on this game.
