If its a good story, it'll work.

Eh, I'll just come out and say the idea's a lot less appealing, even if it were a good story in its own right.

Personally, I see a sequel going one of two ways:

A) Ghostbusters 3 gets made and another game is made based on that movie; or B) We follow the opening of a franchise in another city with the help of Ray Stantz (and possible cameos by the original cast).

Dan Aykroyd IS Ghostbusters - out of all the original cast members, he clearly has the most enthusiasm for the franchise. Getting Dan on board for another video game would be easy, but getting everyone else to return might be a stretch.

Personally, I wouldn't mind either scenario.
