Anyone watch "Pushing Daisies"?

How many Ned-heads to we have on here? I saw ads for this every time I'd go see a movie, but with the Writer's Strike, I was totally oblivious to season 1 and never knew it was on. Now I've been watching season 2. The premiere (“Bzzzz!”) wasn't the greatest (felt like a season 1 leftover), but I loved this week's episode (“Circus, Circus”). I've also seen ep 6 (“Smell of Success” or something like that) and part of the pilot (“Pie-lette”) online, and “Wow!”

Now I'm hearing about the low ratings this season (and those of all the other TV shows in general), and we the fans are worried about the show (God forbid) being cancelled. We need a Pie Hole Army to start watching the heck out of this show every Wednesday and watch it online when eps are available, and put the DVD on your Christmas list. Do whatever you can to convinc ABC to keep the show on the air.

It's still too early to give the show an expiration date, but the ratings need to improve dramatically. If Daeg Faerch stands a chance at having his Ingmar character see the light of day in the next three or four weeks… and then a few weeks later, then we need to do something fast! Where is Ned's magic touch of life when you need it?

I'm disappointed to hear the ratings are dropping, I already had to accept the knowledge that Jericho was getting cancelled because of the ratings which frankly sucks, because that show had a lot of potential and didn't seem to be all that greatly appreciated by the network.

Like Firefly.

I'm a Pushing Daisies fan too, I've got the first season on DVD and have been meaning to get around to watching it, especially the second episode which wasn't broadcast over here in the UK.

I'm also hoping Doyle releases a CD of the show's score, as it's a fun and dramatic score.

Hopefully the show's second season will at least be full length so that they can conclude it even cancellation is inevitable.

I saw a majority of the first season before the strike. I liked the plots and sub plots in it. I saw the second season premire bt have been too busy to see the rest. I look forward to watching the rest of season 2.

Just a friendly little reminder to watch the show tonight. Same time, same channel. It is very well worth the hour. And I predict big, if not huge, numbers, or at least compared to the past two weeks' ratings. People are slowly becoming aware that the show is still on, it's still fun, it's still fresh, it has not been canceled (and hopefully will not be any time soon… (;_ :-().

The reason I predict such big numbers is that there is literally nothing else on. “Knight Rider” is a rerun, “Bones” is off for baseball, …and who watches “Old Christine” and/or “Gary Unmarried”? I've never even heard of the latter. Four major networks, and only one – ABC – has something good to offer on Wednesday night at 8/7 Central – Pushing Daisies. It won't hurt you to skip or DVR Stewart & Colbert for the night and watch them later. We are doing this because we love PD and we are doing this for its ratings.

Thank you to everybody who participates!

Bump! Just a friendly reminder. Tonight “Pushing Daisies” will be the only thing on at 8/7 Central. David Arquette and Debra Mooney guest star. Be sure to watch the fun! Tonight 8/7 Central ABC.

Yeah it is. :-) Anyway, I have some good news, and some iffy news:

According to savedaisies.com, season 2 of Pushing Daisies is done after episode 13…

Wait for it, wait for it…

And season 3 will start production in May 2009!! I am so hoping this us all true, because our hearts can't take much more fear and worry of not knowing our beloved show's fate. The show returns November 19th, same bat-time, same bat-channel… so get all your friends, enemies, associates, and strangers hooked on this show. Check out (or have them check out) Season 1 on DVD, and catch up with season 2 online, and/or buy episodes from iTunes.

There is a huge campaign to save the show, and it is getting major publicity. Fans have organized a mass mail-in starting November 3rd and has been extended from November 10th to November 19th to coincide with the big event. It is still subject to further extention. People are being asked to write to ABC with letters, postcards, emails, daisies, pies, and daisy seeds… asking the network to order the back nine episodes and renew for a third season. For more information: Click here!

I know I've been pushing this show, but I am a huge fan who wants this show to survive. I've been a fan of canceled shows (Meego, Muppets Tonight, Thanks!, Twins , Freakazoid!, Teen Angel, Fantasy Island , Beetleborgs, Rock Star: The Series, Angry Beavers, Invader Zim, to name a few), and this is one we can't afford to lose!

Thanks for pushing Daisies and keeping it alive!

I never really got into the whole premis of bringing people back to life, just to find out how they died, and then “killing” them all over again…I mean, if your going to bring them back, then why not let them testify at their own murder trial?

Because Ned's touch has consequences. Not only can Ned only touch you once, but here's the reason the dead can't testify: If one is brought back longer than 60 seconds (one minute), someone or something else must die in its place. This could be anyone or anything of equal value (like how Chuck's father died in place of Ned's mother) or someone or something in close proximity of the dead (who knows, Ned might be the one who randomly dies). To keep Chuck alive, the funeral director/grave robber had to die in her place.
And a squirrel died in Digby's place.

Another bump up, because tonight's the BIG NIGHT once again. It appears I didn't mention this in my last post, but Fred Willard will guest star as a magician named The Great Herrmann.

Word of mouth is stronger than ever, and various websites are abuzz with Pushing Daisies, although most of it concerns the uncertain fate of our beloved show. Not only are the cancellation rumors spreading like wildfire, but so is w-o-m, so I am hoping for the best tonight. To quote Mick Jagger and the Stones, “You're not the only one
with mixed emotions.” I am nervous, worried, scared, optimistic, and hopeful at the same time. I don't like not knowing. I hate waiting this long for the verdict.

But let's put smiles on our faces as we tune in at 8/7 Central on ABC.
