Are uniforms necessary?

In order to start a GB franchise, are the uniforms (jumpsuits) necessary, or can a more laid-back attitude be used by wearing similar STYLES of clothes with the no-ghost logo on them?

I ask because I've contacted colleagues about a possible formation of a GB franchise here, and the only thing we really have a question on is the uniform.

I don't know if you can or not officially, but if you wanted an “Extreme” version that I'd have said as long as you advertised yourselves as Extreme Ghostbusters then that would be ok…

But don't quote me on that…

Mr. Crow,

In answer to your “Do we have to have uniforms?” Query…The answer is YES. Here's why…

At Ghostbusters International® we take great pride in our service and our brand image on a whole. We strive to present a professional and courteous appearance on the job, and GBI feels that the uniform (or jumpsuit) is the best was to accomplish that.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this, we've been busy around the office with lots of various projects. That “Red” guys keeps sending comp sheets for our approval, (Dr. Venkman can't decide what his character should look like) and we're STILL working on the GBI website.

We'll keep you updated!

Plus don't forget the uniforms have that protective shielding to protect us should in the unlikely event a proton pack malfunction or a ghostbuster crosses the streams. (Not that we would, that'd be bad! :0 )

And they look quite stylish.

Okay, while I do agree with the uniforms, here is another question I do have:

Do all franchises need to use the same standard equipment, or can franchises in areas notorious for stronger spooks (such as New England or New Orleans) use upgraded and stronger equipment?

I think getting that stain defender (Like on that pants commercial) on Jumpsuits would be a good idea. It would prevent messes with Ectoplasm, and possibly Mood Slime, if any is left over from the battle with Vigo. Mr. Tully should ask Dr.'s Spengler and Stantz about getting that. :s :d
