I did this last year so I suppose I'll start a tradition. Just wanted to recap our events of the year. 2008 was a big year for our team. Our number of events doubled from the previous year thanks to recommendations and word of mouth. This last year we've had new members join us and we've become alot more organized. We have alot of exciting things on the horizon the coming year and we can't wait. We had alot of great times and put smiles on alot of faces.

Phoenix ComiCon Costume Walk 1/4/2008
We started off the year with a costume walk in downtown Phoenix to help promote the upcoming local comic con.

Phoenix Cactus ComiCon 2008
Next was the actual Phoenix Comicon. We set up a booth to collect donations for the upcoming Phoenix Heart Walk. We also hosted a zombie survival panel, a Return of the Ghostbusters screening, and helped at the Zombie Beauty Pagent.

Phoenix Heart Walk 3/1/2008
Our next major event was the Phoenix Heart Walk. With our comicon booth and another fundraiser we had afterwards we raised $400 for our walk team.

Phoenix Diabetes Expo 4/26/2008
In April the local Diabetes Association invited us to have a booth at the Diabetes Expo to help promote their upcoming charity walks as well as ourselves and what we're about.

Free Comic Book Day Food Drive 5/3/2008
In May for Free Comic Book Day we teamed up with our local comic book store and costumer Citizen Prime to help host a food drive.

Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk 5/10/2008
Next we participated in the Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk. This was one of several events we were able to attend due to organizers meeting us at the Diabetes Expo.

Fox 10 News Interview With The Arizona Ghostbusters 7/9/2008
At the beginning of July we were contacted by our local FOX affiliate to do an interview for a story on us. Within minutes of the broadcast we were getting requests for events. It was a great opportunity to get our mission out.
The video is still up.

Remember The 80's Party 7/18/2008
In July a large 80's party was held at the Wrigley Mansion (of Wrigleys gum fame). All of the entrance fees went towards Cystic Fibrosis research. Over $15,000 was collected at the party.

San Diego Comic-Con 2008
At the end of July was the San Diego Comic-Con. We met up with many other GB franchises due to all the excitement about the video game. It was great to meet other teams and share stories and ideas.

Phoenix Children's Hospital Visit 9/8/2008
In September we had the great honor of making a special visit to Phoenix Children's Hospital. The strength the children showed despite their illnesses was an inspiration to us all and it was great to know we put a smile on their faces.

Step Out To Fight Diabetes Walk 9/27/2008
We then had our 1st of the two diabetes walks we helped promote at the expo. This was our first charity walk at night which really let the pack lights shine.

Relay For Life 10/11/2008
In early October we participated in the local Cancer Relay for Life event. It was a 12 hour event from 6pm to 6am. We set up a booth to sell marshmallow bags, twinkies, and crunch bars for donations to cancer research. There were alot of fun events there including a Rock Band competition.

Step Out To Fight Diabetes Walk 10/18/2008
Next we were in the 2nd diabetes walk of the year. We had to take a road trip to northern Arizona to the mountains. With the walk route we found out you can walk uphill both directions.

Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival 10/25/2008
At the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival we set up a booth to collect donations for the upcoming MS Walk. Later that night we helped judge the costume contest.

“Ghostbusters” Screening 10/27/2008
Just in time for Halloween we attended a Ghostbusters screening in town. It was great to see so many other Ghostheads in Phoenix.

MS Walk 11/8/2008
For the MS Walk we were able to raise $800 at several fundraisers we held. At the walk we were joined by both the local Rebel and 501st Legions.

Toy Anxiety Holiday Toy Drive 12/6/2008
We were joined by the Rebel and 501st Legions again to help with a toy drive for the local children's hospitals. A truck load of toys were collected to be donated just in time for Christmas.

Snowball Express 12/19/2008
Our last event of the year was the Snowball Express in Anaheim, CA. The day was part of a whole week of events held for the families of fallen soldiers. It was a great event that proves the American spirit is still alive. We were joined by many other costumers including a great group of pirates.

Well we have the Fiesta Bowl Parade tomorrow. With over 150,000 estimated to attend and being broadcast live, it sure is one way to start the year off. Unforunately our Ecto didn't get done in time for it but she'll be done by our local comic con at the end of the month. With our exposure at the parade and the car being done, we should hopefully have alot of events. There's alot I just haven't put on our website's schedule yet. Luckily we've gotten more members to help cover more events now.
