I'll doubt he'll ever write another one, according to the rumors, his original GB3 script was really good but since Bill Murray wouldnt agree with it, he wouldnt be able to use it anyway. I'm keeping my own patience by writing my own script, its alot of fun but ver frusterating at times.

I believe he wrote this really good but really long GB3 script and sony told him to cut it so he cut a few sceens but it was still to long sony told him to cut more but e said no so then they cut it in half so there was one GB3 script and one GB4 script

He might write another one - never give up hope. wink

However, I personally liked the idea Aykroyd had - go from seeing folk on the Brooklyn Bridge flipping to seeing them being flipped off with pitch forks in hell.

Think it would have been a great film!

Yes you're right about Sony owning it, and that it was ‘likely’ to be two GB 3 and 4.

But ‘good script’! There have been far more reliable info. from Ivan Reitman, Harold Ramis, and Bill Murray, that the script wasn't all that good.

Do you all think he will ever write another movie at all besides GB3? I hope he does because he is a great script writer!

That's actually a very good question. Everyone on this site is so concerned with another GB movie that no one stops to wonder if Akroyd will write ANOTHER kind of movie.

Unless he already has.

Hmm.

I'd better think about this one.

I think the studiso will be somewhat cautious about approaching anything written by Dan after ‘Blues Brothers 2000’. I really love most of Dan's movies, but BB2000 was extremely badly written. It was terrible. Im a HUGE Blues Brothers fan, but as a movie, BB2000 really sucked, its the worst thing he ever wrote. The only good thing about it was the music.

The concept of NYC and Hell crossing over is good for me–I would like to see that explored, even if the script needed tweaking.
