Anyway, I'm sorry d_osborn, but I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. Everything we've learned about the Ghostbusters' backgrounds, whether it's from GB, RGB, GB II, and even EGB, DOES indeed matter in this Comic and anything else that's brand new. Those are what made the Ghostbusters, themselves unique. And out of respect to the RGB Fans, and TRUE Ghostbusters Fans, I think those backgrounds and all of that info should still be used. If RGB/GB II/EGB never happened in this new Universe, then that doesn't mean that they're backgrounds/life stories/trivia/info didn't happen, because those did happen. It's all part of the Core Continuity. Not using their REAL backgrounds/life stories/trivia/info is a MAJOR error in continuity.

simply put, this new comic is based off the first film, nothing else. if dana and pete are still together in the new comic, we would have conflicts in GB2, RGB, etc. same goes for other things, birthdates, birthplaces, etc. the only thing canon in the comic is the first film, and continuity would not be risked if things were changed from RGB. frankly, i coul dcare less if i don't ever see the ecto-2, junior gb's, or peoplebusters again.
