I'd rather CG then hand-drawn RGB.

Edit: GB has always been in comedy section in all of my stores.

oh…and did any of u see Bill on Letterman….he looks like hell…I can't imagine him doing live action…and I really wouldn't want to see him like that as Pete…I'm very happy with the CG option here…and am looking forward to hearing more about it.

Hey Mellie,

Sorry having ANY negative opinion turns me into a “whiny bitch.” If I'm a whiny bitch, then you're an idiot. I'm not the type of fan who is like “OHMYGOSH IT HAS THE NAME GHOSTBUSTERS IN IT?!? GIMME GIMME GIMME!” Give me a break.

Everyone who has said anything “negative” so far has not come out with stupid statements like “THIS IS GONNA BLOOOOWSL0LZ”. Everyone has said basically the same thing: “I'm excited, BUT”. And that's a SMART way to look at it. Have you seen the new Turtles CGI film? Ignore the turtles and check out the human characters. They look like rejects from a Final Fantasy game. Or, did you see Monster House? Can you imagine sitting through an entire Ghostbusters movie watching that and NOT thinking “man, I wish this was real.”

Basically, as good as this movie POSSIBLY can be, I can see the same statement coming from everyone who sees it: “good movie, but everytime I heard their voices, I wish I could see them.” Someone brought up Polar Express, which was just so lifeless.

Again, like almost everyone else has said: I'm keeping my mind open on this. But I'm getting a pretty ugly forecast about how it's going to turn out. I've waited a long time for this movie, but a half-assed CGI film? Not really worth it.

The reason people don't do Ghostbusters projects is NOT cuz the fans are whiny bitches. We are such a small fan community as to be non-existent. It's because studios do not realize what an incredibly lucrative franchise they're sitting on. If they knew, they would use every power in the world to push out a live action GB3, with or without Murray's involvement.

And lastly, why the hell would you trust a movie studio to do something right??

And for the record, Murray does not look like hell on the Letterman appearance. There seriously is the best GB movie waiting to be written about the three guys, past their prime, getting it together one last time to save the world.

The fans didn't wait 2 decades for a half ass GB Neutron CG film. I highly doubt that's what we're going to get though. But if in any event we did, I'd be way better off sticking with Return of The Ghostbusters and Generation, the awesome fanfilms.

Reminds me of my favorite comic, The Dark Knight Returns.

I missed Letterman and I know Murray is old but he's still sexy… I mean just look at this picture… doesn't he look “yummy” with a beard? lol

it also gives him a more serious look (*peter)

it was a generalization…not everyone is just whining…lol..but when u skim through the thread and most of it is “if it's like this screw them” etc…it kinda puts a downer on the whole thing…and if for some reason anyone who was anyone decided to look in on this “small” community that is what they would see. yes it IS smart to say ur excited …and to be weiry of what might go wrong, but instead of saying it like that…maybe we can try to say what we DO want…not just what we don't want.

Last time I checked, a 60 some year old Harrison Ford is returning to play Indiana Jones.

What requires more work, zapping a proton beam and talking about twinkies? Or chasing a wild tribe through the jungles of Africa whilst swinging a whip?

the twinkie bit was a joke.

bill on letterman for those who missed it

I'm just saying…the guys aren't that young…bill and harold are showing their age…dan and ernie aren't exactly spring chickens either…lol.. I just think that CG is a good option for them if they're not up to doing live action. I seriously doubt they would make the cgi “kiddy”…and until I see a production pic of a horrible looking cg GB team I'm just gonna be happy about the whole idea.
