Aykroyd on a Computer Generated GB3

Completely agree. How many other times has Dan confirmed GB3?

But Someone please tell me, what's the point of having Bill's voice in a Ghostbusters movie? If they're not using his likeness, I can't think of a single good reason. They could easily get someone who sounds like him. IF they're using his and the other actor's likeness, THEN I completely understand.

because Bill Murray IS Peter Venkman. (*peter) it be like casting Vin Deisel to replace Harrison Ford for Indiana Jones. :p

we need another interview, even if its Dan again, confirming the news he's given out. i need to know if this is actually coming through, or just an idea Dan had that he wanted to share.

Vin Diesel sounds nothing like Harrison Ford. And if they were making an Indy Jones cartoon and Diesel sounded just like him, I'd be just fine with. That's a perfect example. IF they were making a Jones cartoon, why would we need Ford if the character will look nothing like him?

Yeah, it would stand even more if Dan did another interviewing confirming it once more.

because Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones, no one else can play out the dialouge or the character even in voice acting like Ford can. its like a calling card kind of thing.

and yeah, im searchin to see if theres a new interview. no luck so far. maybe it was just an idea Dan has, not a real project in the works.

then again its only been a few days. so no time to panic just yet.

That's what I was fearing but I'm not saying it is or isn't.

But the buzz on the internet is overwhelming, it's been posted and talked about on every movie and news site there is. I'm pretty sure Dan knows about this, would be great if he gave us a little more insight.

Btw, back in ‘04 or ’05 Dan talked about how much positive response he received on the internet, so he does go to the sites.

eh, well the style is the least of my worries. ok, maybe it is. i mean i wouldnt want a distorted computer generated Bill Murray complete with a enormous nose and big forehead on the big screen. if they do go that route, atleast there will be a hefty script with witty dialouge to fill in the gaps for bad character design. the characters can look like bugs, but whats the main topic here? a NEW GB movie. something we've been wishing for since 1989, even if it is going to be computer animated, we're getting our wish granted of a new film being made. and its sure better than nothing.

I'd rather have nothing than a bad movie. That's not to say this film will be bad though.

Is that soooo… In that case:

Hi Dan!
Get in touch with Harold about the writing…

Oh- and give Billy a compliment… Tell him we all think he's not too old to don the Ghostbuster outfit!

I emailed Ernie Hudson last night to ask him if he knows anything about the proposed project, whether he'd lend his voice to a CGI version of his character and what his thoughts are in turning Ghostbusters into a CGI movie compared to live action.

Ernie's very good at replying to his fans over the net so hopefully he'll respond. I'll copy paste his reply if and when I get it.

Just wondering, would u rather there have not been a Star Wars Episode I, II, or III? As they are the most universally hated but I personally think each was good in it's own right

Very cool. Here's hoping for a positive reply.

“Universally hated” is to general. I love the new SW films, all of them.
