NO! I do not want a CG theatrical Ghostbusters movie with the RGB versions. Then they'll look all cartoony.

in all honesty i would believe that the majority of us would want a live action sequel instead of a cgi one. but keep an open mind about the cgi version. it could have some awesome environments/ghosts/action sequences etc. let's just see what happens in terms of an official announcement before we get too worried about this issue.

In my books, anything GB new related is a good thing. Think of everything that goes with, new toys, new fans, new comics, etc.
I'm not giddy about it yet as of last year, it wasn't even going to happen, so it could all amount to nothing, but showing that the actors are showing interest in it is a terrific thing after all this time.
The fact of it being CG, all the actors are doing VAing and it's going to be written by the main man himself. So script wise, we're totally set. The fact it's CG isn't a good or bad thing in my books, to be honest, they can hardly do Live Action, their all getting quite on a bit, two of them have grey hair
Overall, bring it on.

I think that a lot of people are missing a big part of this announcement, Bill Murray said that he would once again play Dr. Peter Venkman! A role that a year ago he would have wanted nothing to do with. Also, has any one stopped to think about the impact that a third movie (I know it's not comfirmed) would have on merchandising? Now more than ever we may have a chance of seeing new GB figures.

I officially am going to have a Heart attack!!! Bill Murray if he goes through with this can open a crap load of stuff to be done in the future!! Can anyone say ghostbuster CG figurines?

I am so very excited about this. Of course I'd rather have live-action but this is better than nothing. I hope the story hasn't change dmuch.

If we calm down and think about it logically…. Yes it might be CGI but hey I know we all saw Superman Returns and a lot of Brandon Rouths scenes were CGI and you cant tell. Ghostbusters 2 is the only sequel Bill has ever done so you know he has a special bond with the franchise. And everyone is right if and when this happens….Ghostbusters is going to go through the roof…and if Universal got the rights for a movie who knows they could come back to USF. I think in a few months we should have some news then we can bust out the flight suits and packs and change the oil in the Ecto-1a or will it be the Ecto-1B or Ecto-2? Should be an exciting three months. :-)

I've been doing the happy dance all morning since reading the news.
I actually quite like the sound of CGI movie. It means they can have the original cast and not bring in new characters that might not be that good.
