I was reading in Making Ghostbusters that Aykroyds origional GB script had non stop ghostbusting. It also said it would have cost hundreds of millions to make it. I think Aykroyd made the GB3 script a lot like his origional GB script in that there would be a lot of busting and very expensive to make. I think Aykroyd said he estimated GB3 to cost over $600 million.

That sure is a whole lot of cash to spend on one movie. If that's true then no wonder Sony didn't want to make it.

It is alot but Aykroyd always writes big scenes that are impressive but not needed. Reitman and Ramsis helped Aykroyd change his origional GB script to only cost $30 million compared to the hundreds his origional would have cost.

Akroyd's the only one i hear about during GB3 discussions, does anyone know how the other 3 men feel about the idea?

Ramis says go for it, Reitman is sceptical.

Dude, both movies put together didn't make $600 million.
