I second this. The guys are quite funny, and I can see them, in collaborating with Aykroyd and Ramis to ensure the feel and terminology of things are correct, banging out an amazing third movie.
Keep in mind, if you loved the video game, have an open mind about new writers, OUTATIME. Even though the video game was advertised as having been written by Aykroyd and Ramis, that has since come out to be not entirely true. They basically consulted, as they are on Ghostbusters III, and made sure the feel and terminology were correct. They were not as involved in the video game script writing process as we were originally lead to believe, and look how great the video game turned out.
Look, I'm such a GB fan that I'm open to pretty much anything if it gets me a sequel with the original cast; even if they're little more than cameos, Ecto-1 is a Mercedes and the “new” Ghostbusters are inevitably douchebags.
I'm not just optimistic, I'm damn ecstatic(*peter).
