I second this. The guys are quite funny, and I can see them, in collaborating with Aykroyd and Ramis to ensure the feel and terminology of things are correct, banging out an amazing third movie.

Keep in mind, if you loved the video game, have an open mind about new writers, OUTATIME. Even though the video game was advertised as having been written by Aykroyd and Ramis, that has since come out to be not entirely true. They basically consulted, as they are on Ghostbusters III, and made sure the feel and terminology were correct. They were not as involved in the video game script writing process as we were originally lead to believe, and look how great the video game turned out.

Look, I'm such a GB fan that I'm open to pretty much anything if it gets me a sequel with the original cast; even if they're little more than cameos, Ecto-1 is a Mercedes and the “new” Ghostbusters are inevitably douchebags.

I'm not just optimistic, I'm damn ecstatic(*peter).

I am a The Office fan, and knowing that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupinksy are working on the script, gave me good hopes about the 3rd film.

I agree, they're good writers, and Ramis is great, too. What bothers me is their script for Year One. It was the biggest crap. Jake Black eating sh*t and this kind of “modern” comedy stuff all the time… I don't understand. How could that happen?

That film was horrible. So cliched and generic.
Great. So I guess it's safe to say that Cera will be one of the new ‘busters.

Now I’m less optimistic…

Again, they didn't write the video game. They added their “touch” to it, just like they're doing with this script.

Yes, Aykroyd and Ramis wrote the first two, it doesn't mean that they HAVE to write everything Ghostbusters.

There were fantastic episodes of RGB, and there have been amazing pieces of fan fiction, and some of the comics have been well written.

There are other people who can grasp the characters and stories that the GBs could get into. Add in the fact that Ramis and Aykroyd will be adding their touch, just like they did with the video game, and people being worried about them not writing it just shows how much people will look for anything to complain/get worried about.

If these guys write a crappy script, it won't get made. Plain and simple.

i think it would be very interesting if someone could sit down and pick dan's brain about his concept ideas for ghostbusters and the things he would like to see put in a film and with the way things have advanced since the first movie some of his dreams would be beleivable with modern technology and the way special effects have come such a long way

Cera would make a good ghostbuster but at the same time i think it would be great to put a female in the mix, eliza dushku would be a great fantasy for me, the best looking female actress as a ghostbuster man i would be the happiest gb fan alive, and since it is christmas my sister got me a bunch of ghostbusters stuff so this one rocked for me!!!:-)

Whilst unlikely, it isn't impossible that a crap script could be filmed. Uwe Boll has set a standard in that regard.

Ah, but he doesn't make them as films. He makes them as tax breaks for Germany.
