It was a busy weekend for the Arizona Ghostbusters again.

On Friday night March 4th, 2011 we set up our booth at the monthly 1st Friday Artwalk in Downtown Phoenix to collect donations for the American Heart Association. It was the first event for our newest member Alex Gist. He has previously been a zombie at our last several zombie walks and we've managed to bring him back to the world of the living. We also managed to track down a Sony tape player at thrift store so a certain old soundtrack tape of mine got some good use again. The highlight of the evening was meeting an individual with the Hi-C cooler Slimer tatooed on his chest.

On Saturday morming March 5th, our team and Ecto-AZ participated in their first Wish Walk for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at the Tempe Kiwanis Park. Ironically it's been our wish since we started in 2007 to get to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and we're very proud we've gotten a relationship with them now. A game truck, Radio Disney, and the local fire department were also on hand. It was an awesome walk and we can't wait for another Make-A-Wish event.

On Sunday March 6th, our Firehouse 520 branch in Southern Arizona participated in helping out at the American Diabetes Association Bicycle Tour De Cure. The team hung out at the finish line and the Ecto-AZ truck acted as a support vehicle for 65 miles of the tour picking up bikers that were tired and bringing water to participants. It was another awesome event for our fellow team. We'll have some pictures from the event soon.

Yep. Don't worry that was an intentional joke, however we did used to have twinkies at our booth for diabetes events. Now we just have sugar free candy.
