On Saturday, December 4th, 2010, the Arizona Ghostbusters teamed up with Samurai Comics to host a toy drive for the local Children's Cancer Network. This is the 2nd year we have hosted a drive for the organization. They are dedicated to helping the families of children undergoing cancer treatment. Besides helping all year, they have a heavy focus on brightening the holidays for each family. The toys we collect goes to these families and will also be taken to the local children's hospitals the week of Christmas. The comic store gave discounts and free comics to those that made donations and put many toys on sale for purchase to donate as well. We set up our booth, Ecto-AZ, and Sony's 30ft Stay-Puft balloon outside the store. We were along one of the busiest streets in Phoenix and got many passers-by stopping for photos and to make donations. On Friday night we set up a booth at the local Art Walk and collected $200 we were able to use to purchase toys with as well. We collected 155 toys total. We like to thank Samurai Comics for hosting the event and everyone that donated.

It seems your franchise is one of the most active lately, uh? Good job as usually.

Thanks.

I honestly don't know. Not all franchises update their sites regularly. So many do alot of events and may only put a few or just large ones on their site. I only know we've been at over 90 events since January 2007 and have been in gear at those events over 300 hours.

About 25 events per year… not bad.
