On Saturday October 17th, 2009, the Arizona Ghostbusters attended three charity walks throughout the state. This was our first time attempting multiple walks on the same day. In the morning was the Step Out To Fight Diabetes Walk and MS Walk On The Wild Side. Both of those walks were in Prescott, AZ starting at 9 AM. We split up into two teams to cover both. At the MS Walk there was Matt H and Keith, at the Diabetes Walk was Jeff, Neal, and Chuck. Both walks had great turnouts and we had a great reception from the fellow walk teams. Both walks had beautiful scenery and the MS Walk went through the local zoo. Each was 1 and half miles long. Being down in Phoenix we don't get to see the leaves change color much so it was nice being in a place where it really felt like October.

Later in the evening at 7pm was The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk back in Phoenix. This was our first time at a Light the Night Walk. The walk was 2 and a half miles around Tempe. This walk was also the first time in gear for our newest member Phil Lehmkuhl. He did a great job. Also at the Night Walk we had Jeff, Matt H, Matt S, Neal, Chuck, and Todd. It was one of our longest and hardest days ever but as always, after meeting the walkers and having them share their stories and reasons for walking with us, it made it all worthwhile.

We'll have more pics from the MS Walk coming soon.

You guys are just amazing with what you do. I'd use my Tenth Doctor costume to do similar stuff, except Doctor Who isn't that well known in Evergreen Park. Besides, I'm swamped with schoolwork.

By the way, I finished my Stay Puft Man a few threads down (“Can anybody help?”). Why not go check it out?

Thanks. Glad to hear someone else around here has Doctor Who costumes. Yeah Ghostbusters is definitely alot more known but the people who do recognize Doctor Who will appreciate it.

Great work you're doing…strappin' on the gear to bust the evil specters of multiple sclerosis and DAHH-BEETUS.

Believe me we make way too many Wilford Brimley jokes.
