We are using the regular logo on the doors and ours on the back. No logo on the hood. The AZ sun would fade it fast. The plate will be ECTO-AZ, unless someone takes it in the next few weeks. We kept in mind the original idea for the ecto was a70's hearse or ambulance. As for the roof rack we have several large electrical boxes. We did cut a large hole in the main one and put the classic fan with brackets on it. When we drive it will spin on it's own. We will be putting the 1A style satellite dish on it.

I got word today the engine has been installed. Hasn't been started yet, still needs the carb and final hook ups done.

Here's the latest pics from the engine installation. The transmission has also been hooked up as well as the starter. Gas tank, radiator, fuel and brake lines and carb are next.

Just a small update on the car. Most of the car's wiring has been sorted out and is now working. The car is now boasting two batteries. The rear end has been rebuilt as well. In these pics the new chrome trim has been added to help further simulate the classic Ecto fins. You can never have too much chrome.

That engine is a BEAUT. How much have you guys plunked down on that baby so far?

I don't have an exact number. Still less than one would spend on the frame for a 59 MM.

Just another small update on the car. The rear-end has been rebuilt and the carburator installed. The car has been started as well.

Superb stuff, I work freelance for a couple of car magazines and I'd love to do a feature on something like this. Great stuff.

Thanks. We're almost done. We had to do some wiring work on the ignition system and still need to rework the driveshaft to fit the length of the car.
