Actually we have been considering the LED signs for the sides of the hightop. Something down the road. After we finish the roof details we will start on the equipment in the back, then move to adding speakers to the roof rack.

I can promise we have no interest in the hazard tape. Way too overdone on Ecto's these days.

We fell in love with the car the first time we saw it. I'll post some comparison pics soon from when we first got it till now. It's hard to believe how far it's come along. This time last year the paint was drying with the car gutted sitting on jack stands. We do almost love it more than the movie Ecto just because it simply is our Ecto. One of my favorite moments from the parade is someone yelling “look they got the Ghostbusters truck!”

The Ecto is now officially registered and insured as a classic car, which here in Arizona got us around the pesky emissions standards. The Ecto-AZ license plate has been ordered and is still in the mail. The Ecto got it's first time out at an walk event last week. I got some pics of some of the areas of the car I haven't in awhile.

Thanks guys. Riding in it is best part. It's hard to describe the feeling. When you're in street clothes the reaction is nowhere near as good as when you'r riding in it in uniform. That's when people really go crazy. Yeah we've had a few close calls from people trying to drive and take pics at the same time. The worst is people using a camera with a flash at night while both you and them are trying to drive.

We still get the constant questions “is it the real one?” and “are you filming the 3rd movie?”

I'll have some pics soon of it with the custom plate on. We have her scheduled for quite a few events coming up including being on display at the next Diabetes Expo inside the convention center, a Cannonball Run themed car show, and a zombie walk. We hope to have more of the exterior details done like the blue and grey hoses, large whip antennae, and split loom on the roof rack. The interior is the biggest project but we already have all the equipment for it.
