The ECTO-AZ license plate finally arrived and is now on the car. The whip antenna, some split loom around the roof rack equipment, and most importantly the slime drain hose with warning sticker were also added over the weekend. This was to get the car ready for the promo video shoot for the Cannonball Run themed charity car show we'll be at in a few weeks. We used a different fitting than normal for the drain hose as this one looks a bit cleaner than the usual exposed threads. The blue hoses and radome tower are next on the list to be added to the exterior.

Looking good, Jeff. She's really come a long way in such a short amount of time.

Thanks. We have quite a few major events coming up she's scheduled to be at so we want her to be as complete as possible. I'll tell you, she's a chore to wash.

Suppose I'll put the pics here from the film shoot we were at today instead of making a new thread on it:

On Saturday April 10, 2010, we took a drive outside town to take part in filming a promo video for the Cannonball Spree car show and rally. We were joined by many of the local movie and TV car replicas taking part in the show. The road was closed off by the police for the shoot for about a mile for the filming and stunts. The filming was a blast and it was great to meet many of the other car enthusiasts in town. We will post the video when it is completed.

We had a team get together the other day and got to see one of our members, Cody McGuires, Ecto. Now this is just a static prop for his Halloween display at home he started before he was a member of the team. It is made out of a 54 Chevy wagon and does not have an engine in it. The stickers were just temporary and will get replaced for next Halloween. The roof rack was scratch built. The new light bar is actually sitting on top of the old one which is currently mounted to the roof. He did a great job and who knows, maybe someday it will be on the road.

Haha, that thing's pretty cool. He did a fantastic job on the roof rack too!

I'm absolutely blown away by your version of the Ecto! It would be just short of amazing for a vehicle like that to have survived here in upstate NY.

Love the detail!

Ironically behind the cars was a old west town set-up for tourists, so the showdown analogy is pretty accurate.

Thanks. She came from Colorado but still had very little rust on it despite the kind of weather they have up there.

We'll have her in the Phoenix Convention Center this weekend for the Diabetes Expo which will make for some great pics. So far we've just gotten little things here and there done. The parts for the radome tower are being ordered today.
