On Saturday, February 12th, 2011, the Arizona Ghostbusters participated in their first appearance in the annual Parada Del Sol parade in Old Town Scottsdale. The parade is one of the largest horsedrawn parades in the country and this year they invited motor vehicles for the 1st time. We were invited after the Fiesta Bowl Parade this year. It was a blast and we hope to participate in future parades.

On Sunday, February 13th, the Arizona Ghostbusters: Firehouse 520, participated in the “Heroes For Heroes” event at Silverbell Army Heliport in southern Arizona. This is located next to the infamous plane boneyard showcased in many movies. The event was for soliders and their families. Members from the local 501st Legion and Arizona Avengers were on hand as well.

I'm still waiting on more photos from both events but here are the ones I have so far.

Parada Del Sol

Unfortunately this vid was shot at the beginning of the route when there were many people set up.

Not sure what was up with those carved guys being turned away from the street, but it looked like a pic opportunity waiting to happen.

We ran into one of the busters from Hawaii and a member from I believe the Virginia team that moved here and is looking to join up with us.

I also forgot to mention there was an awesome kid in the crowd holding a Puft bank but we never saw them again or have been contacted by them. Hopefully we'll see him at another event.
