Back to the Future Video Game?

Great voice casting in-deed. However, I'd still like to see some game action or a trailer soon. I heard Jurassic Park should be out not too long after.

The main TellTale page just put up 3 new videos about it. There's some concept art in there as well as in-progress in-game shots. It's also now up for pre-order: whole season of 5 episodes for 24.99. (Just for PC and Mac though). On the BTTF page, it looks like they will be releasing it on PS3, but no sign of xbox - which really sucks for me.

If it is anything like the Sam and Max games they made multiple smaller games that each have an enclosed story that connects to the others in an over arching story….like an episode to a tv series

I hope the game to be released for XBox 360… lately this console has had great sells.

I'm hoping it'll have a 360 release as well, I refuse to buy a PS3 just to play this.

I heard something about a possible Wii release. I'm looking at a Wii for my next birthday or whenever I can get enough money together. Why, you ask?

Well, let's see…there's Ghostbusters, Epic Mickey, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and all the other sports-type games.

Well, I signed up over on the taletell forums to follow this game and will admit I'm pretty bummed about how the 360 is getting shafted.

I'm a console gamer. I have an almost 10 year old computer, I don't know how to update all the drivers, I'm only computer literate enough to really get on the internet. So I have a 360 and a first-generation PS2. I really try not to be a “fan-boy” of either console. Everyone has their preferred device and I don't pick on them for it. I had a PS1 before upgrading to the PS2. The reason I now have a 360 instead of a PS3 is because when the PS3 first came out I was in college (followed by law school), and didn't have the money. When I graduated from law school and looked to upgrade, I found that Sony had taken out the backwards compatibility on the PS3, meaning I would have to keep my PS2 if I didn't want to just toss out all my games. I refuse to buy a PS3 until they put backwards compatibility back in the system (and I refuse to pay the really high price for a used first-generation PS3 that has that ability). So there's the background…

Now, I'm a BTTF fan and was really excited when it was announced and TellTale in the first press release said it was coming to “all major platforms.” Well, then they backed off that and said the platforms hadn't been announced. Now the official site is up and it shows PC, Mac, Ipad, and PS3. This means I probably won't be able to play this game I have been looking forward to. (As I doubt my old computer would be able to do it.)

When I let my opinion be known over on the TT forums, I was told that I didn't understand how TT worked and that they are a small company and that there are problems releasing them on XBL and other networks because those companies have a different review process.

I fully admit, and did admit, that before the BTTF game was announced, I had never heard of TellTale Games. Well, this doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth at all. So the consoles have their own review process, they chose to do PS3 and not 360. I want to give them my money to play this game, I really do. But I will not pay for a game that I can't play.

On an overall note: I think that in this day-and-age of gaming that exclusives, whether they be complete exclusives or timed exclusives, are really really stupid. All the company is doing is alienating part of the potential fan base. (See what happened to GB:TVG in the UK).

All that being said, there are rumors of them releasing it on wii and/or 360 as a “complete series” after it has already come out in the monthly installments on everything else. (Certainly sounds like a timed exclusive to me). Will I buy it then? Yeah - because I really want to play it, but it sucks that I would have to wait like that, and not wanting to spoil the story before then means I need to watch what I read about it in the 6-12 month wait time.

Sorry - rant over.

EDIT; This was just posted by a mod over on the TT forums:
That said, we currently have no plans to release Back to the Future: The Game on the Xbox 360 or Wii platforms.

Thanks for nothing TT!

I don't understand this whole episode format they're using. Is some one willing to explain it to me? I'm not much of a gamer and only really have the ps3 and Wii for Ghostbusters. But I'd buy the BTTF game…I'm just not familiar with this type of game I guess…which makes me think I won't like it.
