GB Freak - this was all new to me as well, so I asked about it over on the TT forums. Basically, they've chopped the game up into 5 segments (“episodes”) , and will release 1 episode a month for 5 months - preferrably in a row if everything works out. Someone said it works kind of like a TV season - each episode is a self-contained story, but there is an over-arcing story across all 5 of them.
COOL NEWS: Here is the LINK to get the first episode free. I went ahead and did that. It will show up in your cart and you can “order” it now, then when it becomes available for download, you'll get it. As someone who was really hoping for 360 because my computer sucks, this will be a nice way to test whether or not my computer will run it, before I spend 25 bucks on the “season.”

As someone who bought and played all the new Sam N Max games from Telltale over the years (on both PC and Xbox) I'll try to explain the concept as simply as I can.
Basically, the game is split into epsiodes (much like a television show). Each episode can take anywhere up to 3 hours to complete, depending on how good you are at point and click puzzles. These episodes each have a self contained story so that you can just pick one up and play it. But, at the same time they also have an overarching storyline that links all the episodes together.
It's an interesting way to deliver a game, something slightly different! You might want to find a copy of the first episode of Sam N Max and try that out…you used to be able to get the first episode for free! (Or you could trial it on Xbox or PSN?)

I was just watching that over on TellTale's forums. The game looks to be really promising! If I knew for sure it would run on my 9 year old computer I would pre-order the season. (Darn you TellTale for not releasing it on xbox!) I've got the first episode ordered with the free code. You can bet that if it works I will waste no time ordering the rest of the season.

Funny, I refuse to play the PS3 due to the lack of PS2 BC.
As for the trailer, that is great, I think if my PC can run Star Trek Online, hopefully it can run this.
