Barack Obama or John McCain

If you want other nations to like us, the solution to that is not electing a Republican.

Which is fortunate, because the solution to fixing the economy ALSO isn't electing a Republican, because when it comes to issues of money, every Republican only cares about the upper class. How many American citizens here can honestly claim to be “upper class”? Can I see a show of hands? I suspect it's not many.

Both situations are only going to get worse if you let someone who's on Bush's side come in and continue what he started, and that's exactly what McCain will do. It's time to let someone with absolutely no connections to or agreements with the current administration come in and clean up the mess.

Can I ask why you McCain would be a better diplomat?

McCain has been around longer and knows more about how the world works. Obama I feel is just all words and has no idea how to accomplish his goals.

Let me make this one statement. I was not always for McCain in fact I was hopeing huckabe would win. But when present with the choice of McCain or Obama. I chose McCain. If it was a Hilliary or McCain I might have to rethink my choice. Obama just has to many things that make me nervous his background, his pastor, and his Ideas about how to run our nation. I feel that His ideas are great but not for the situation that we are in right now and I feel that he needs more time to grow politically.

Frankly we are in a danged if you do danged if you don't.

Have you watched the youtube video I linked you to? In my opinion the gentleman is failing to grasp current international politics and threats and his age works against him in this case. For a nation that prides itself on its vigor and physical prowess, I am amazed there's such a movement towards older candidates.

Which views are too liberal?

Pfft. “Too liberal”. Like there is such a thing.

This is how I know optimistic science fiction like Star Trek is full of crap. Humans don't want to evolve beyond the closed-minded concepts that hold us back like bigotry and selfish greed.

When we invent AI that becomes sentient and decides to take the world from us, I'm taking the robots' side.

There's a lot of grey area here, stick with me if you can.

Obama represents change and a new attitude but while at the same time he is relatively inexperienced with domestic policy. I cite some of his tax plans that are critized by his own advisors as being faulty. A large problem I find with Obama is solved though, by the selection of the proper Vice President. Obama is much like JFK in the sense that he's not the “get stuff done” guy. He's charismatic sure, but that folks is not how laws get passed and for his agenda to work he needs someone like LBJ who can deal with Congress and push bills through.

McCain represents a different problem, I don't think he is consistent enough. His record is full of instances where he has jumped around and moved around on issues. And while it is admirable that one can intake new information and formulate new information, I don't feel the issues he's shifted on enhance anything. Once again, if he gets a good VP that can solidify and compliment his style then many of my problems go away.

I don't trust either one with the economy, and neither should you. They've both been Senators and if you recall Congress sets the budgets, not the President. Both seem “out of touch” with the common average American. I'm not sure I could vote on either one based off that alone.

So until Vice Presidents get picked, you can color me third party. And if the VP's suck, then you can count me as in for Bob Barr.

You hit the nail on the head. Like i said danged if you danged if you don't.

Well I wanted Edwards, he seemed to understand the economic situation best.

But that's not the choice we're left with. And I guess with the whole affair thing, he'd be screwed now if he had gotten the nod.
