Well I wanted Edwards, he seemed to understand the economic situation best.

But that's not the choice we're left with. And I guess with the whole affair thing, he'd be screwed now if he had gotten the nod.

I don't blame you there edwards did seem to have a good concept of the economy I think if he was running for president in 2004 and kerry was the vice president. They might have won.

Can I ask you on a slightly personal note, MDP, why you care about abortion?

I mean…do you know any pregnant woman? Like, how does it affect your life enough to be a factor in who you elect to lead your country? Why does abortion matter to a presidential election?

Sure no problem.

I feel that its is a form of murder and my views on abortion are complex. Really I feel that the whole pro-choice movement is a joke. I feel if you are willing to have unprotected sex you should be willing to take on the responsiblility. Condoms are cheap and readly avaiable so it no excuse.

Now that said I do believe that abortion should be avaible for rape victims and women who are at risk of death. Because rape victims did not have a choice and should not be forced to carry a baby that they did not want. If they do decide to have a abortion it should be early as possible before a heart beat is developed. Women who are at risk of death should have the choice because many times if the mother dies the baby dies. There is no need to lose both the mother and child.

But my first reason is why I don't agree with abortion.

What's wrong with universal health care or social services?

Okay…

But that doesn't explain what it has to do with a Presidential Election.

See, that's my problem. There are far too many more important issues going on in this country right now, to rest your vote on these little morality matters.

There are so many people out there who voted for Bush because of something that doesn't even affect this country…like banning gay marriage for instance. Who CARES if gays get married? Thanks to homophobes, Bush was able to destroy the economy and start a war for no reason.

That's irresponsible voting. An election has to be about the REAL issues.

We don't have the doctors to support it. Before we can have universal health care we need to update our service to keep up with it. I doubt you ever been in a waiting room here but it 3can be a long wait even in a emergency. My girlfriend actually broke here leg at 7:00 we got to the hospital at 7:30 and didn't get to see a doctor till about 12:00.

Also ashamed as I am to say this there is a lot of people who would take advantage of this and really tie up doctors who need to get to real emergenices. Sometimes time is of the up most importance and if universal health care was around when my sister was little I don't know if she would be here now.

It was just one of my issues it was not the main one if anyone else was prochoice and had better plans for the economy I would still pick them even though their prochoice.

I thought America was the country where anything was possible, if Britain can achieve an National Health Service why can't America improve it's healthcare services?

Sure, maybe you need to overall the way things work, but hey.

Question, are all your doctors in Hospitals? Or do you have General Practitioners in specific Doctors' Surgeries?

But to show that, thats not the only reason I picked him. I also feel that he will cut back the pork barrel spending and inturn lower our Debts. With Obama almost every solution he has to cut back the Debts is also present a program that will increase our debts.

Also I'm glad to see that we are getting mature responses.

The other night on TV, a guy (can't remember his name for the life of me) who's vying for McCain's VP position, couldn't tell the anchor interviewing him one way that his economic policy differs from the Bush Administrations, and seeing as most republicans agree with Bush's economic plan, I highly doubt the economy is going to get any better, especially since everyday more and more jobs are out sourced and less and less is made in the good ol' U.S. of A.

Those stimulus checks everyone got are silly ideas because they don't do what they are intended to do, which is put it right back into the economy, instead, because the baby boomers never taught their children how to properly handle credit, the average joe used that money to pay off existing debt, instead of buying a new tv or something else equally frivolous. So in the end, all it did was inflate everything, just as raising minimum wage does.

If not for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, had we stayed on Clinton's economic plan, we would have been out of debt almost entirely by now. The only way to get money rolling in this country again is to stop refilling our war chest, which has been empty for a good while now but it's apparently like Mary Poppin's bag of tricks in which more of what we need keeps coming out of it. And start making shit to export, it creates more jobs, in which more people have money to spend. We should have given those stimulus checks to small business owners and the like, which is the hardest hit out of anyone. But Republicans support big business, and I don't know about where you live, but here I've seen far too many locally owned shops close up or merge in order to not walk out in debt.

Obama's ideas for creating new programs to help pull us out of debt is not a bad idea, it is exactly what FDR did to pull us out of the depression, and guess what? It ******* worked pretty well. Now granted, had WW2 not broken out we wouldn't have been nearly as well off, but we got lucky in that there was a war going on at the time that we were not apart of and so we made all the war machines allies needed, as well as got paid to protect ships at sea. But unfortunately when you start the war you foot the bill.

Now granted it's not a situation we can just walk away from, we shook up everything these people had ever known, and honestly, seemed to prefer, Westerners tend to forget most of their laws stem from Islam itself, and so we're questioning and trying to change their morale background as well. Anyone who's ever had to deal with Christian fanaticism should know you can not change a deeply religious person, you only give them more reason to be as they are, and that evident in the amount of rebel groups springing up in the region. We honestly just ****** everything up.

Yes there are clinics, but there just as bad as the hospital. I agree with you too that america is the land where anything is possible. Sometimes it takes time and right now is not the right time to start universal health care. When we get the doctors to cover america then we can get universal health care. For now we need to focus on making health care affordable.
